Description
The Edma sanding head for telescopic pole (Easy Lock Sander) has been developed to make sanding large wall and ceiling surfaces more efficient. The key innovation of the tool is its fully 360-degree swivelling joint, which lets the sanding head turn to any angle as the work progresses. This makes the work smoother and reduces the need to keep changing your own working position. The sanding head is designed to be attached to a telescopic pole with an 18 mm thread, letting you sand up to a height of 4.5 metres without ladders or scaffolding.
The product’s Easy Lock clamping mechanism speeds up the work significantly. Instead of traditional screw or clamp fastenings, Easy Lock lets you change the sandpaper or sanding mesh in just a few seconds by turning a lever. The mechanism keeps the abrasive tight and in place throughout sanding, which prevents the paper from creasing and ensures an even sanding finish.
The sanding head is sized to take standard 93 x 280 mm sanding strips or sanding mesh. Sanding mesh is particularly recommended, as its structure reduces clogging and the build-up of dust under the sanding surface. The base plate of the tool is made of a durable but flexible material that adapts to small unevenness in the surface and levels it effectively.
The lightweight construction reduces strain on the shoulders and arms, which is essential especially when sanding ceilings, where you work with your arms raised. Combined with an extension pole with an 18 mm thread, this sanding head offers an ergonomic alternative to heavier electric pole sanders for finishing work and smaller renovation projects.
Intended use:
- Sanding filler on walls and ceilings: The product is ideal for sanding plasterboard wall joints and over-filled surfaces. The articulated head follows the wall surface evenly, even when the pole is held at a steep angle.
- Working in high spaces: Attached to a telescopic pole, the sanding head removes the need to climb ladders, which improves safety and speeds up moving from one work area to another.
- Sanding in confined spaces: Because the joint swivels all the way round, the sanding head fits easily into tight corners and narrow corridors where a larger machine would be awkward to use.

Instructions for use:
Choose a sanding mesh suitable for the job (e.g. grit 120 for filler). Open the Easy Lock levers on top of the sanding head. Place the sanding mesh under the base plate and fold the ends under the clamping mechanism. Close the levers by snapping them shut, so that the mesh is tightened in place. Screw the sanding head onto a telescopic pole with an 18 mm thread and make sure the connection is tight. Sand the surface with calm, wide movements. When sanding a ceiling, stand slightly to the side of the area being sanded to avoid dust falling directly on you. After work, clean the sanding head by tapping off loose dust.
Warnings:
Always wear a respirator (at least FFP2 class) and safety glasses when sanding, as fine filler dust is harmful to the airways. Make sure the telescopic pole is screwed all the way in before you lift the tool against the ceiling, so that it does not come loose and cause a hazard.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Is a pole included in the package?
This product is sold as the sanding head only. You need a separately purchased telescopic pole with an 18 mm thread.
Can ordinary sandpaper be used with it?
Yes, you can use ordinary sandpaper or sanding mesh as long as it is cut to the right size (width 93 mm). However, sanding mesh is preferable because it lets dust through better.
What kind of pole does it fit?
The sanding head is compatible with all standard poles that have an 18 mm thread at the end.
Recycling instructions:
The sanding head is made mainly of plastic and metal parts. At the end of its life, it can be disposed of as mixed waste or dismantled for recycling by material. Used sandpapers and sanding meshes go in mixed waste. Recycle the packaging cardboard in cardboard collection.
