Description
The Procat quick-lock strap is a 25 mm wide tie-down strap available in 1 m, 3 m and 5 m lengths. The product is designed for mechanical, stepless locking of light loads, luggage and loose items. It is a straightforward fastening solution for situations where the power of a traditional ratchet mechanism is not needed, but a reliable hold and quick readjustment are.
The strap works on the principle of a spring-loaded quick lock that locks the webbing by friction and the squeeze of metal teeth. The webbing is threaded through the buckle and tightened by pulling the free end of the webbing to the tension you want. The release mechanism works by pressing the spring-loaded catch of the buckle, which removes the clamping force immediately and lets you release the tension in the webbing without tools.
The synthetic webbing material withstands repeated abrasion and changes in the weather, and the individual products are supplied for industrial distribution in 30 pcs or 40 pcs inner boxes. The optimised 25 mm width spreads the clamping pressure evenly over the surface of the item being fastened, which reduces point loads that damage the material. The metal construction of the quick lock ensures even transfer of clamping force throughout the life of the product.
In logistics and warehousing, the product makes handling bundles and small goods more efficient, and each strap is supplied in a standard plastic bag with a product card.
Intended use and suitability:

Procat quick-lock strap instructions for use:
Follow these steps to ensure an optimal, safe tie-down result.
1. Wrap the webbing around the load or items to be tied so that the webbing is straight and not twisted.
2. Press the spring-loaded catch of the quick lock with your thumb to open the metal teeth of the buckle.
3. Thread the free end of the webbing from below the buckle between the metal teeth and the buckle body.
4. Release the catch and tighten the strap by pulling the free end of the webbing until the webbing is tight around the load. The friction lock stops the webbing slipping back.
5. Release the fastening by pressing the catch again, which releases the tension in the webbing so it can be pulled out of the buckle.
Warnings:
Restrictions of use and safety factors for mechanical fastening products.
- Checking the lock: Always check visually and by pulling lightly on the webbing that the metal teeth of the buckle have bitten into the webbing before applying the actual load.
- Load limit: Do not exceed the recommended load of the product; the product is not rated or certified for heavy industrial load securing.
- No lifting: The product must never be used to lift people, loads or machines. It is intended only for holding items in place and bundling.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Answers to the most common technical and logistical questions about using the product and its variations.
How is the length of the Procat quick-lock strap adjusted and how does the buckle work?
The length is adjusted steplessly by pulling the free end of the webbing through the quick lock. The buckle works with a spring-loaded metal catch that clamps the webbing in place by friction and teeth, stopping the webbing from slipping back.
What lengths is the quick-lock strap supplied in, and what are their logistics EAN codes?
The product is supplied in a 25 mm width in three lengths: 1 m (EAN: 6420610191501), 3 m (EAN: 6420610191525) and 5 m (EAN: 6420610191518).
