The Kapro 872G Prolaser® Plus is a green-beam cross-line laser that projects horizontal and vertical lines crossing at a 90° angle. The green diode improves visibility in bright interiors, so the line stays clear on light surfaces and over longer distances. The basic measuring range of the device is up to 30 m without a receiver, and in pulse mode the laser can be paired with a detector, which extends the working range to up to 60 metres.

Accuracy is in the order of ±0.2 mm/m, which allows even demanding alignment and finishing work. Self-levelling works within a ±3° range with a pendulum mechanism; when the device is outside the levelling range, the 872G signals this with both a visual and an audible alert. This prevents incorrect marks and speeds up work in changing conditions.

Manual slope mode adds to the ways of using the laser: self-levelling is switched off and the line can be set at a deliberate angle, for example for marking falls or for angled installations. Beam selection (H/V) lets the user keep only the lines they need visible, which improves visibility and saves batteries.

Kapro 872G instructions for use:

Set-up and levelling: Place the device on a stable surface or tripod. Switch it on; in automatic mode, self-levelling works within a ±3° range. Wait for it to level before marking. Outside the levelling range, the lines flash and the buzzer sounds: place the device on a more stable surface.

Beam selection and manual slope: Select H, V or H+V. Activate manual mode with a long press when you need a tilted line; the flashing indicator reminds you that self-levelling is not in use. Make your marks and return to automatic levelling before the next level lines.

Pulse mode and receiver: Use pulse mode outdoors or over long distances. Pair it with a compatible receiver and adjust the height until the centring tone/LED shows you are on the line. This improves readability in bright light.

Maintenance and storage: Clean the optics with a soft, lint-free cloth. Lock the pendulum for transport (if the model has a lock). Store the device in a dry place, protect it from impacts and remove the batteries for longer storage.
