Description
Sthor 4D 16-line green line laser is an advanced measuring device that projects a comprehensive 360-degree array of laser lines into the workspace. The device produces two horizontal and two vertical 360-degree circles, forming a total of 16 green lines. These lines allow precise alignment of surfaces, determining right angles and transferring height levels simultaneously on the floor, walls and ceiling. The green laser beam offers excellent visibility compared with traditional red beams, which makes work easier even in brighter conditions. The 4D lines projected by the device cover the room comprehensively without having to move the device repeatedly.
This line laser has a self-levelling function, which activates automatically when the device is within a ±3 degree tilt. If the tilt exceeds this limit, the device gives a flashing signal, ensuring the continued accuracy of the projected lines. Self-levelling can also be locked manually, which lets you project laser lines at the angle you want, for example when aligning stairs or other sloping structures. The device runs on a powerful 3.7V Li-Ion battery, and the remote control included in the pack lets you select and control the lines remotely, making work smoother and stopping the device moving during adjustment.
The technical features of the line laser cover a wide working range of up to 20 metres depending on the ambient lighting. The measuring accuracy of the laser is ±0.3 mm/m, which guarantees reliable results even in demanding installation tasks. The device is designed to withstand site conditions, and its IP54 rating gives protection against dust and splashing water. The versatile accessories supplied, such as an adjustable wall bracket with strong magnets, a lifting platform and threads for tripod mounting (1/4″ and 5/8″), allow flexible, firm mounting of the device on different surfaces and at different heights. The compact size and carrying case supplied make the device easier to move and store.
Intended use:
- Installing ceiling structures and suspended ceilings: The upper 360-degree horizontal line of the device allows precise, fast alignment of ceiling profiles, lights and ventilation ducts throughout the room. The green beam is clearly visible on the ceiling, making it easier to install hangers at the right level without manual measurements at each point.
- Erecting partition walls and frames: Two perpendicular 360-degree vertical lines form intersection points on the floor and ceiling, which speeds up positioning partition wall frames and ensures they are straight. 90-degree angles are easy to check and transfer within the room, which reduces measuring errors and speeds up the installation process.
- Tiling and floor installation: The lower 360-degree horizontal line is projected just above the floor surface, giving an accurate reference level for installing floor tiles, laminates or other floor coverings. The vertical lines help determine the starting lines for tiling and ensure straight joints in both directions.
- Installing fitted furniture and shelves: With the horizontal and vertical lines, kitchen cabinets, shelving, pictures and other wall-mounted elements can be lined up straight and at the right height. With the magnetic bracket and lifting platform, the laser can be set at exactly the height needed, so installation work goes accurately and efficiently.
- HVAC and electrical installations: Lines for pipes, cable trays and sockets on walls and ceilings can be done quickly and consistently throughout the room. The laser lines show clear routes and installation heights, reducing the need for a tape measure and spirit level and ensuring neat installations.

Sthor line laser 4D 10023449 instructions for use:
Before use, make sure the Li-Ion battery of the device is fully charged with the charger supplied. Insert the charged battery in the device carefully. Place the line laser on a stable surface that is as level as possible, or attach it to a suitable mount (wall bracket, lifting platform or tripod) using the threads of the device. Make sure the setup is firm and the device cannot move during use.
Switch on the device by moving the power switch to the “ON” position. The device starts in self-levelling mode and projects the laser lines. Wait a few seconds until the lines stop flashing, which shows that self-levelling is complete. You can then select the horizontal and vertical lines you want with the buttons on the device or with the remote control. If the device projects the lines flashing and gives a beep, it is at too large an angle outside the self-levelling range (±3°). Adjust the position of the device manually until it can level itself.
When using the tilt function/manual mode, switch on the device and hold down the line selection button for a few seconds until the laser lines come on. In this mode self-levelling is disabled and the device projects fixed lines, so you can tilt the laser to the angle you want without alarms. Switch off the device after use by moving the power switch to the “OFF” position. This also locks the laser pendulum, protecting it from jolts during transport. Always store the device in the carrying case supplied.
Warnings:
- Laser radiation: Do not look directly into the laser beam or point it at the eyes of other people or animals. Laser class 2 can cause eye damage if the beam is looked at for a long time or through optical instruments.
- Reflective surfaces: Beware of the laser beam reflecting from mirrors or other shiny surfaces, as a reflected beam can be as dangerous as a direct beam.
- Handling: The line laser is a precision measuring device. Handle it with care and avoid dropping, strong vibration and impacts, which can damage the internal mechanism and reduce measuring accuracy.
- Environmental conditions: Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, moisture or rain. Use and store the device within the temperature range stated in the technical data.
- Battery: Use only the original Li-Ion battery and charger. Using the wrong battery or charger can cause fire, explosion or damage to the device. Do not dismantle, short-circuit or expose the battery to heat.
- Servicing: Do not try to open or repair the device yourself. Servicing and repair of the device must be left to an authorised service centre.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
- Question: How far is the green laser line visible?
Answer: The working range of the Sthor 4D line laser is about 20 metres. Visibility is significantly affected by the ambient lighting. In bright light, visibility is shorter than in dim light. However, the green beam is considerably more visible than red in the same conditions. - Question: Can this laser be used with a tripod?
Answer: Yes, the base of the device has a 1/4″ thread, and the pack includes an adapter that also lets you attach the device to a site tripod with a standard 5/8″ thread. - Question: How does the self-levelling function work?
Answer: Inside the device there is a pendulum mechanism that automatically finds level when the device is placed within the ±3 degree tilt range. If the device is tilted more, the laser lines flash and the device beeps to indicate that it cannot level itself. - Question: Can laser lines be projected at an angle, for example on stairs?
Answer: Yes, by switching off self-levelling (manual mode) you can tilt the laser to the angle you want. The pendulum then locks and the laser lines are projected at the set angle without an alarm. - Question: What does “4D laser” mean?
Answer: A 4D laser projects four 360-degree laser circles: two horizontal (one high, one low) and two vertical (perpendicular to each other). This forms a total of 16 lines, which cover the whole room from one setup.
Recycling instructions:
Packaging materials: Recycle cardboard and paperboard packaging in paper collection and plastic packaging in plastic collection according to local instructions.
Electronic waste (WEEE): Do not dispose of the line laser, remote control or charger with household waste. These are electrical and electronic devices (WEEE), and they should be taken to an appropriate collection point for recycling.
