Description
The Vorel 64650 is a multi-purpose ratchet screwdriver with an integrated telescopic shaft and bit storage. The tool is designed especially to make work easier in tight, hard-to-reach places. Its ratchet mechanism allows efficient screwdriving without letting go of the handle, and the direction is easy to change with a switch.
A special feature of the device is the extendable telescopic shaft, which increases the overall length of the tool to as much as 600 mm. A magnet at the end of the shaft holds the 1/4″ bit in place. Note that the telescopic function is designed primarily for accurately positioning bits and screws in deep places and to act as a magnetic pick-up tool for picking up dropped light metal parts. With the telescopic shaft fully extended, it is not suitable for undoing or tightening tight screws; the actual use of force should be done with the shaft retracted.
The ergonomic 2-component handle (PP/TPR) guarantees a firm grip. The built-in storage compartment in the handle contains the seven most common screwdriver bits (slotted, Phillips, Pozidriv), made of CrV 6150 tool steel.
Intended use:
- Installation and maintenance work: For general screwdriving tasks where a ratchet function is needed to speed up work and different head types must be easily available.
- Positioning bits and screws in tight spaces: The telescopic shaft lets you guide the bit or screw into deep holes or narrow gaps before the actual tightening.
- Picking up parts (magnetic pick-up): The magnet at the end of the telescopic shaft is an effective aid for retrieving dropped screws, nuts or other small metal parts from hard-to-reach places, reaching as deep as 600 mm.
Package contents:
- 1 pc ratchet screwdriver with telescopic function and handle storage
- 3 pcs slotted bits (Slotted): 3 mm, 4 mm, 5.5 mm (1/4″ x 25mm)
- 2 pcs Phillips bits: PH1, PH2 (1/4″ x 25mm)
- 2 pcs Pozidriv bits: PZ1, PZ2 (1/4″ x 25mm)
Features:
- Ratchet mechanism: Allows continuous turning and quick direction changes, making work more efficient.
- Telescopic shaft with magnet (max. 600 mm): The shaft extends the reach of the tool considerably. The magnet at the end is sized to hold the bit in place and to work as a pick-up tool. The function is intended primarily for extending reach and positioning, not for strong torque when extended.
- Integrated bit storage: The storage compartment inside the handle keeps the 7 bits supplied in order and always ready for use.
- CrV 6150 material: The bits supplied are made of durable Chrome Vanadium steel.
- Ergonomic 2-component handle (PP/TPR): Gives comfort in use and a good grip.
Technical specifications:
- Bit holder: 1/4″ (6.3 mm) hex
- Overall length extended: 600 mm
- Bit material: CrV 6150 (Chrome Vanadium)
- Handle material: PP (polypropylene), TPR (thermoplastic rubber)
- Bit length: 25 mm
- Total number of pieces: 8 pcs (1 driver + 7 bits)
Vorel 64650 instructions for use:
Using the ratchet function: Choose the direction of rotation by turning the adjusting ring. In the middle position the ratchet is locked.
Using the telescopic shaft: Pull the tip of the shaft to extend the tool up to 600 mm. Use the extended shaft to place bits in tight spots or to pick up objects. Note: Do not use high torque (e.g. to undo tight screws) with the shaft extended, so that the mechanism is not damaged. Do the actual tightening or undoing with the shaft retracted.
Changing and storing bits: Open the end cap of the handle to get to the bit cassette. Place the chosen bit in the magnetic holder of the telescopic shaft.
Maintenance: Keep the tool clean. Make sure no dirt gets into the telescopic shaft or the ratchet mechanism.
Warnings:
Wear appropriate safety glasses. The tool is not electrically insulated (VDE). Important: Do not subject the telescopic shaft to high torque when it is fully extended; it is intended primarily for extending reach and lifting light objects. The magnet can affect the operation of sensitive devices.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Do bits other than those supplied fit this screwdriver?
Yes, all standard 1/4″ (6.3 mm) hex-shank screwdriver bits fit the tool.
Can the telescopic shaft be used to undo tight screws?
Not recommended. The telescopic shaft is designed primarily for placing bits in tight spaces and to act as a magnetic pick-up tool. Strong torque should be applied with the shaft retracted to avoid damage.
How long is the tool at its longest?
With the telescopic shaft fully extended, the overall length of the tool is 600 mm.
Recycling instructions:
Dispose of the product according to local waste management regulations. The metal parts are suitable for metal collection and the 2-component handle typically for energy waste or mixed waste. Dispose of the packaging as plastic waste.
