Description
The Vorel 18357 is an adjustable T-square made of aluminium, designed especially for working with large board materials such as plasterboard. The overall length of the tool is 1000 mm, which lets you draw long, straight lines and take accurate measurements across the full width of a board. The square consists of a long main blade and a head that can be moved along it and adjusted to an angle.
The main blade of the square is 45 mm wide and marked with a clear millimetre scale. The 250 mm long head acts as a stop against the edge of the material. The head has an angle scale showing angles of 2 x 90 degrees (0–90° in both directions). The angle of the head is adjustable and can be locked in the required position with a durable locking nut. This mechanism allows quick, repeatable marking of both right angles and various oblique angles.
The light aluminium construction makes the tool easy to handle, yet it is stiff enough to work as a reliable guide, for example for cutting tools. The T design and adjustability make this a versatile tool for construction and renovation jobs where board materials are handled.
Intended use:
- Marking board materials: Especially for measuring plasterboard (GK), plywood and other building boards and drawing cutting lines. The T-stop lets you draw a straight line from the edge of the board.
- Cutting guide: Works as a sturdy guide for a utility knife or other cutter when you want a straight cut in board material.
- Transferring and measuring angles: Thanks to the adjustable head, you can measure existing angles or set the required angle and transfer it to the workpiece.
Package contents:
- 1 pc Vorel adjustable aluminium T-square 1000 mm
Features:
- Adjustable T-head: The 250 mm wide head can be turned to different angles and locked in place with a wing nut, which allows versatile angle marking.
- Aluminium construction: The material is light, which makes the long square easier to handle, and it withstands site conditions well without rusting.
- Clear scales: The main blade has an easy-to-read millimetre scale and the adjustable head has an angle scale (2 x 90°).
- Locking mechanism: Ensures that the set angle stays in place during work, improving accuracy.

Vorel 18357 instructions for use:
Use as a try square (90°): Make sure the head is set to the 0 or 90 degree mark on the angle scale and tighten the locking nut. Place the stop of the head tightly against the edge of the workpiece. Use the long blade as a ruler for marking or as a cutting guide.
Adjusting angles: Loosen the locking nut enough for the head to move freely. Turn the head to the angle you want according to the scale. Tighten the locking nut firmly to make sure the angle does not change during use. Place the stop against the edge of the workpiece and mark.
Maintenance: Keep the square clean of construction dust and dirt. Avoid hard knocks, which could bend the aluminium blade and affect measuring accuracy. Check regularly that the locking nut works properly.
Warnings:
Although aluminium is durable, the long blade can bend if excessive force is applied or it is dropped. A bent square does not give accurate results. Beware of sharp edges when handling the tool.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Does this square have an inch scale?
