Description
Yato adapter set 6-piece is a versatile, comprehensive six-piece adapter set that extends what an ordinary drill or impact driver can do. The set fits tools with a standard 1/4″ (6.3 mm) HEX fitting directly. The adapters let you use ordinary square-drive sockets in sizes 1/4″, 3/8″ and 1/2″ in a drill. All parts of the set are made of 40Cr steel, which supports efficient transfer of torque from the power tool to the fastener.
The various bit holders and extensions supplied add flexibility to the work. The set includes a 60 mm basic bit holder, an 80 mm bit holder with a guide sleeve that helps keep screws straight, and a 150 mm flexible extension. The flexible extension makes it easy to drive screws round a corner or in confined structures that a conventional rigid extension or a straight drill cannot reach.
The socket adapters in the set have a spring-loaded locking ball. This locking ball holds the socket firmly in place during work and stops it coming off even under strong vibration. With the three most common socket sizes, one and the same power tool can drive a large number of sockets of different sizes for tightening and loosening various nuts and bolts.
Intended use:
- Using sockets in power tools: Lets you attach sockets with 1/4″, 3/8″ and 1/2″ drives to a drill or to an impact driver with a 1/4″ hex chuck.
- Working in confined spaces: With the flexible 150 mm extension, screws and fasteners can be tightened past obstacles and at awkward angles.
- Quick bit changes: The bit holder with a guide sleeve and the conventional bit holder speed up changing 1/4″ screwdriver bits and steady the hold on the workpiece.
Package contents:
- 1 x flexible extension 150 mm (1/4″ HEX)
- 1 x socket adapter 1/4″ HEX to 1/4″ square (length 65 mm)
- 1 x socket adapter 1/4″ HEX to 3/8″ square (length 65 mm)
- 1 x socket adapter 1/4″ HEX to 1/2″ square (length 70 mm)
- 1 x bit holder 60 mm
- 1 x bit holder with guide sleeve 80 mm
Features:
- Compatibility: The standard 1/4″ (6.3 mm) HEX shank fits most quick-release chucks and screwdrivers directly.
- Locking ball: The spring-loaded ball in the drives of the socket adapters locks the socket firmly in place.
- Made of 40Cr steel: Transfers the tool’s torque efficiently to the fastener and resists deformation.
- Flexible construction: The long extension bends, allowing work off-centre and at a slight angle.
- Sliding guide sleeve: The sleeve on one of the bit holders supports long screws right at the start of screwing.

Yato adapter set 6-piece instructions for use:
Choose the socket adapter or bit holder that suits the job. Push the 1/4″ HEX shank of the part into the drill chuck or the quick-release chuck of the screwdriver and make sure it locks fully into place. If you are using a socket adapter, press the socket you have chosen firmly onto the square drive of the adapter so that the locking ball clicks into the groove of the socket. When fitting the flexible extension, attach it directly to the power tool and fit the bit holder to the other end of the extension; bend the extension to the angle the job requires for the duration of the work. When using the bit holder with a guide sleeve, pull the metal sleeve gently forward over the screw so that it supports the screw as it enters the surface of the material. After use, remove all parts from the tool, clean metal dust off them with a clean cloth and store them in a dry place.
Warnings:
Use the parts only within the torques they are designed for; do not use the components of the set with heavy industrial pneumatic impact wrenches, as the 1/4″ hex shank is not designed for extreme impact loads. The flexible extension in particular is intended only for light screwdriving, and too much torque can damage its spiral construction. Always make sure the socket or screwdriver bit is properly attached to the adapter before starting the tool, to avoid it coming off accidentally while rotating.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Q: Does the 1/4″ shank of the set fit the most common cordless tools?
A: Yes, all parts of the set have a standard 1/4″ (6.3 mm) HEX shank that fits directly into conventional drill chucks and the quick-release chucks of 1/4″ impact drivers.
Q: How tight an angle can the flexible extension be bent to?
A: The flexible extension is best suited to gentle angles (up to 90 degrees) for getting round obstacles. Bending it too tightly into a U shape can stop the shaft turning inside the extension and damage the construction.
Q: Do large 1/2″ sockets stay securely on the adapter?
A: The adapters have spring-loaded locking balls designed to hold the sockets reliably in the drive even when the tool rotates quickly and the working position changes.
Recycling instructions:
When the adapters or bit holders reach the end of their life and break or wear out, sort them as steel at a local metal collection point. The packaging materials of the product go to plastic collection. The product card is sorted as paper.
