Description
Yato safety glasses with yellow lens and adjustable temples are made for eye protection in various work environments. These safety glasses have optical class 1 lenses and 2-1.2 UV protection, which filters ultraviolet radiation. The yellow lenses increase contrast and depth perception when working in dim or poorly lit conditions by shifting the wavelength of visible light.
The frame of the safety glasses is made of nylon, and the lenses themselves are polycarbonate (PC). The glasses have class F mechanical strength, which means they are tested to withstand impacts from small particles flying at 45 m/s. The design leaves a wide field of view so that you can see your surroundings freely while working and moving.
The glasses have temples adjustable in length, so that the fit can be adapted to the size of your head. There are small holes at the ends of the temples where a neck cord can be attached for hanging the glasses. The product is certified to EN 166:2001 to meet safety at work requirements.
Intended use:
- Working in dim conditions: The yellow lenses increase contrast in shaded or poorly lit indoor and outdoor spaces.
- Dusty environments: Protect the eyes from flying debris, chips and dust in grinding, sawing and routing work in line with the class F impact resistance rating.
- Outdoor work: The built-in UV protection (filter type 2-1.2) filters ultraviolet radiation when working in sunny conditions.
Package contents:
- Yato safety glasses yellow (type 9844)
Features:
- Adjustable temples: Length adjustment to adapt the glasses to the shape of the face and head.
- Polycarbonate lenses (PC): Stop small particles getting through, in line with class F impact resistance.
- Yellow lenses: Shift the wavelength of light, improving contrast in poor lighting.
- Nylon frame: A flexible material that allows a light construction.
- Wide field of view: The design minimises obstructions to vision at the sides and top.
- Attachment holes in the temples: Allow a separate neck strap to be fitted for hanging the glasses.

Yato safety glasses instructions for use:
Check the safety glasses for scratches, cracks or other damage before each use. Take damaged glasses out of use immediately, as they no longer give protection to the standard. Adjust the length of the temples by pulling or pushing the back of the temple so that the glasses sit straight on the face and do not press on the temples of the head. Clean the lenses regularly with mild soapy water and a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners or rough paper towels, as they scratch the surface of the polycarbonate lens. Store the glasses in a protective case or in a dry place at room temperature when they are not in use.
Warnings:
Always check before use that the glasses are intact. Damaged lenses or temples weaken the impact resistance. Although the glasses have class F mechanical strength, they do not protect against large objects or objects flying at very high speed. The safety glasses do not protect against liquid chemical splashes, molten metal or strong radiation (such as welding light). Avoid exposing the lenses to corrosive substances, as they damage the structure of the polycarbonate.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Q: Can I wear these safety glasses over my own glasses?
A: These glasses have a close-fitting design and are not designed to be worn over your own glasses (so-called OTG glasses). They should be worn directly on the face.
Q: What does optical class 1 mean?
A: Optical class 1 is a rating that means the lenses do not distort the field of view. This allows the glasses to be worn continuously over long working periods.
Q: Why choose yellow lenses instead of clear ones?
A: Yellow lenses filter blue light and increase contrast. They are useful indoors and in dim or shaded conditions, where the shapes around you stand out more clearly.
Recycling instructions:
Dispose of the product according to local waste regulations. The polycarbonate lenses and nylon frames are sorted into rigid plastic collection or mixed waste depending on your local instructions. The packaging materials of the product go to cardboard and plastic collection points.
