Description
EMALIA Universal epoxy casting kit 1.5 kg is a two-component epoxy resin designed especially for castings and surface finishes under 2 cm thick. Its composition gives an even result, as it is self-levelling and clear, which makes it suitable for jobs where the material must be transparent. The chemical structure of the epoxy resin is optimised for curing small, thin layers while minimising the formation of air bubbles in the casting process.
Use of the product is based on mixing the resin and hardener precisely, which starts a controlled polymerisation reaction. Because this epoxy casting kit is designed specifically for thin layers, it offers a balanced working time and a sufficient curing speed. The finished surface is mechanically durable, scratch-resistant and withstands normal use in environments where the finish must last for a long time.
Usability is addressed with the 1.5 kg pack size, which allows a wide range of casting work without a significant risk of waste. The epoxy resin can be used on the surface of many different materials, such as wood, metal and concrete, acting both as protection and as an aesthetic finish. The material does not yellow in normal use and keeps its original clarity for a long time.
EMALIA Universal epoxy casting kit is technically compatible with various fillers such as pigments and glitter, which gives wide possibilities for customising surfaces and objects. The product is made to technical parameters that support precise work and a reliable result every time.
Intended use:
- Surface finishing: Used for coating objects such as table tops or decorative items, giving a clear, protective layer.
- Small castings: Suitable for casting small art objects, figures and jewellery parts in moulds where the layer thickness does not exceed 2 cm.
- Sealing: Lets you seal the surfaces of various materials, such as wood grain, with epoxy resin, which keeps moisture and dirt out of porous structures.
- Repair: Used for filling small damage or cracks in transparent materials inconspicuously.
EMALIA Universal epoxy casting kit package contents:
- Component A (resin)
- Component B (hardener)
- Instructions for use
Features:
- Layer thickness: Optimised for castings under 2 cm, which prevents the material from overheating.
- Clarity: High transparency that brings out the details of the cast piece.
- Self-levelling: When applied, the resin settles evenly on surfaces, which reduces the need for further work.
- Durability: The surface formed after curing withstands wear and keeps its shape.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
- Can epoxy resin be used outdoors?: Epoxy resin usually does not withstand long-term direct UV radiation without a separate protective treatment, so it is best suited to indoor use.
- How long does the resin take to cure?: The curing time depends on the room temperature and ventilation; full hardness is typically reached within 24 hours.
- What should I do if air bubbles remain in the casting?: Air bubbles can be removed carefully with a heat gun or gas torch immediately after pouring, taking care not to overheat the resin.
Recycling instructions:
Empty containers from which all liquid contents have been removed can be sorted into plastic or metal packaging collection. Liquid resin and hardener residues and contaminated packaging materials must be taken to a hazardous waste collection point.
