Description
Gorilla wood glue
Reliable, durable, water-resistant wood glue.
Gorilla Wood Glue is designed to give a strong, long-lasting bond on many different wood surfaces. Its special feature is its tough, water-resistant formula, which makes it an ideal choice for both indoor and outdoor use. Gorilla Wood Glue combines the ease of use of a water-based PVA glue with Gorilla’s renowned bonding strength, which guarantees reliability in all your woodworking projects.
Features:
- Non-clogging applicators: Practical applicators prevent the glue from clogging, which makes it easier to apply.
- Suitable for indoor and outdoor use: Gorilla Wood Glue is designed to withstand different weather conditions, so you can use it both indoors and outdoors.
- Water-resistant (D3): The glue is water-resistant and withstands the effects of moisture, which is especially important for outdoor use.
- Clamp time 20–30 minutes: This gives you enough time to work accurately before the glue cures.
Instructions for use:
- Preparation: Before applying the glue, remove the clear applicator tip and clean off any glue residue. If the glue has thickened or separated, shake the bottle thoroughly until the original consistency returns.
- Application: For the best results, it is important to prepare the wood surfaces carefully before applying the glue. The wood should be smooth and free of machining marks, tear-out or grooves. For hard-to-bond woods, apply glue to both surfaces and rub them evenly together. Apply enough glue so that small beads of glue squeeze out during clamping.
- Clamping: Choose the right clamping technique and type of clamp depending on the nature of the joint, the wood, the moisture, the room temperature, the timing and the surface quality. Typically the clamping time is 20–30 minutes at room temperature, and full cure takes 24 hours. Note that temperature affects the clamping time, and it should be above 13 °C.
Cleaning and storage:
Cleaning while the glue is wet:
- Wipe off excess glue immediately with a clean, damp cloth.
- If needed, you can use sandpaper or sharp tools to remove dried glue from surfaces.
- Note that the sooner you clean off the glue, the easier it is.
Cleaning when the glue is dry:
- If the glue has dried on surfaces, you can try removing it by sanding the surfaces carefully or using a suitable glue remover.
- Avoid scratching the wood surfaces when removing glue.
Cleaning glue off skin:
- If glue gets on your skin, wash the skin immediately with warm soapy water.
- Use soap and warm water to wash your hands.
- If needed, you can also use a solvent to clean the skin.
Cleaning the bottle tip:
- Close the glue bottle tightly after use and clean excess glue off the bottle tip with a clean, damp cloth.
- If the tip becomes clogged with dried glue, remove the cap and push the blockage back out with a toothpick, then rinse the cap with warm water.
- Always keep the bottle cap and tip clean so that you can use the glue again without problems.
Storage:
- Close the glue bottle carefully after use, making sure no air can get in.
- Store the glue at room temperature, avoiding freezing temperatures.
- If the glue thickens or separates over time, shake the bottle thoroughly until the original consistency returns.
Gorilla Wood Glue is a reliable, durable glue for all kinds of woodworking projects, whether you are making furniture, doing carpentry or building outdoors. Trust Gorilla Wood Glue for top-quality wood joints.
