Description
The Kapro Nucleo Mini 3D Green Laser is a compact, versatile cross-line laser designed to provide a comprehensive levelling and alignment solution for professional use. The special feature of the device is its three 360-degree green laser beams, one horizontal and two vertical, which give a complete reference for the whole work space at the same time, from floors to walls and ceiling.
The green laser beam is significantly brighter and more visible than a traditional red laser, which improves ease of use especially in bright interiors or over longer distances.
This laser has a fast, reliable automatic self-levelling function that compensates for unevenness up to a tilt of +3 degrees, ensuring an accurate measurement quickly. If the tilt is greater, the device gives a visual warning by flashing, preventing incorrect use. The Nucleo laser also has a separate manual mode that lets you tilt the laser beams to the angle you want, which is essential for setting falls or sloping alignments, for example.
The Nucleo shines in terms of working range: without a separate detector (receiver), the indoor working distance is up to 30 metres. Using the compatible pulse mode and a separate detector, the range extends to up to 60 metres, allowing efficient work on large sites or outdoors. The device is powered in a modern way by a battery that is charged through a USB Type-C port, which guarantees a continuous workflow without constantly changing batteries. For durability, the device is protected by an impact-resistant rubber coating.
Versatile mounting options add to the flexibility of the device. The laser has a 1/4″ UNC tripod thread both on the bottom and on the top, and it comes with an adjustable, multi-purpose magnetic wall mount that allows easy, accurate positioning on different surfaces. Flash mode gives extra visibility in very bright conditions at short and medium distances.
The Nucleo 3D laser is designed for many kinds of installation and alignment work, such as tiling, plasterboard installation, door and window framing, and electrical and HVAC installations. Its accuracy of 0.2 mm/m makes it a reliable choice for even the most demanding projects.
Intended use:
- Floor and wall tiling: The three 360-degree beams of the laser, especially the horizontal line at the base and the vertical lines, let you set a perfect right-angled reference for the whole room in one go. This reduces errors and significantly speeds up installing tiles, panelling or other surface materials on several surfaces at the same time, ensuring continuous alignment when moving from one room to another. Thanks to this feature, installations are faster and visually flawless.
- Drywall construction and suspended ceilings: The two vertical 360-degree lines are ideal for precise alignment of plasterboard frames, partition walls, door openings and different penetrations on several wall surfaces. The horizontal line gives a continuous reference for the installation height of suspended ceilings, trims and shelves, which eliminates the need to keep moving the device or measuring tools, making work considerably more efficient.
- Setting slopes and falls: Thanks to the manual mode, the laser lines can be tilted to the angle you want, which is a critical feature when installing floor falls in wet rooms or other sloping structures such as ramps and handrails, for example. In this way you achieve a precise, controlled slope that is essential for proper drainage or aesthetic alignment.
- Aligning windows, doors and fittings: The 360-degree lines of the laser give a precise horizontal and vertical reference, which is invaluable when installing windows, door frames and large fittings such as kitchen cabinets or bookcases. The lines ensure that installations are perfectly straight and at the same height in relation to each other and their surroundings, which is a prerequisite for a professional result.

Kapro cross-line laser Nucleo 360° green 3 lines + wall mount instructions for use:
Getting started and power supply: Before first use or after long storage, fully charge the battery of the device with the supplied USB Type-C cable. The charging port is on the side of the device. To start the device in self-levelling mode, move the power switch (on the side) to the ON position. The device starts to level itself automatically.
Selecting the laser beam: Use the buttons on the control panel to select the laser beams you need. There is usually a separate button for the horizontal line (H) and another for the vertical lines (V/P). By pressing the vertical line button, you can cycle through the different vertical line combinations (both verticals active → side vertical active → front vertical active → no lines) or activate pulse mode.
Self-levelling mode (ON): This is the default mode, in which the laser levels automatically within a range of +3 degrees. If the device tilts too far, the laser beams start to flash, warning of incorrect alignment. Place the laser on as level a surface as possible or use the adjustable mount or a tripod so that the device stays within the self-levelling range.
Manual mode (tilt): Switch on manual mode by keeping the power switch in the OFF position and pressing the manual mode button (M) for two seconds. In this mode self-levelling is disabled and you can tilt the laser to set angles for falls or sloping alignments. The laser lines may flash or stay on continuously to indicate manual mode (check the exact indicator lights in the user manual).
Pulse mode (using a detector): Pulse mode lets you use the laser with a compatible laser detector at distances of up to 60 metres or in bright conditions. Activate pulse mode by pressing the V/P button repeatedly until pulse mode is active.
Maintenance: Keeping the laser output windows clean is vital to maintain accuracy. Clean the lenses regularly with a soft, lint-free cloth. Never try to open or service the inside of the laser yourself. Calibration should be carried out by an authorised service centre if you suspect accuracy has deteriorated. Store the device in a dry, dust-free place, preferably in the supplied bag, when not in use.
Warnings:
- Laser radiation: This product is generally a class II laser device. Do not look directly into the laser beam or point the beam at other people or animals. Avoid long exposure to the laser beam. Use Beamfinder™ glasses to improve visibility, but note that they do not protect the eyes from laser radiation.
- Battery handling: Use only recommended or supplied batteries and chargers. Do not try to charge damaged batteries. Do not expose the device or battery to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight or fire.
- Environment: Although the device is IP54-rated, it is not fully waterproof. Avoid immersion in water and protect the device from strong water jets.
- Accuracy: If the device has been dropped or has taken a heavy knock, its accuracy must be checked by calibration before taking critical measurements.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
How does the 3D feature of the Kapro Nucleo 360 laser help in construction?
The Kapro Nucleo is a 3D cross-line laser, which means it projects three full 360-degree laser beams: one horizontal and two vertical. This differs from traditional cross-line lasers in that one device gives you reference lines on the floor, all walls and the ceiling at the same time. This considerably speeds up installing partition walls, tiling and battening suspended ceilings, for example, as you do not need to turn the device as the work progresses.
Is the Kapro Nucleo green cross-line laser suitable for outdoor use?
Yes, the device is suitable for outdoor use, but an accessory is recommended. Although the green beam is very bright to the eye, seeing the laser beam in sunlight is difficult. The Kapro Nucleo has a pulse mode that allows a separate laser detector (receiver) to be used. With a detector, the working distance increases to up to 60 metres and the line can be found precisely even in bright daylight outdoors.
Can this laser be used to set slopes and falls, as when installing drainage pipes?
Yes, it can. The Kapro Nucleo laser has a manual mode that locks the pendulum mechanism. In this mode you can tilt the whole device to the angle you want without the device trying to level itself or flashing an error light. This is an essential feature when installing stair handrails, making floor falls or boarding sloping ceilings, for example.
How is the Kapro Nucleo charged and what is its power source?
This model uses a built-in rechargeable Li-Ion battery, which removes the need to keep changing batteries and saves on running costs. Charging is through a modern USB-C connection, so you can charge the device with the same charger as most modern phones or even from a power bank on site. The device can also be used while charging, which ensures continuity of work.
Why is a green laser better than a red one on a building site?
The biggest advantage of a green laser is its visibility. The human eye distinguishes the wavelength of green up to four times better than red. This means that the green lines of the Kapro Nucleo laser stand out more clearly in brightly lit interiors, in long hall-like spaces and against light surfaces, which reduces errors and speeds up work.
