Description
The Painter G02 series natural bristle wood stain brush is a tool designed for finishing wooden surfaces. This brush is intended for applying wood stains, varnishes and various impregnating agents to different wooden surfaces. By combining different fibre materials, the brush ensures controlled transfer and spreading of thin, liquid finishes onto the surface.
The bristle part of the brush is a combination of OREL-T fibre, synthetic fibres and natural bristle. OREL-T is a polyester-based special fibre developed to keep its shape and stiffness even when exposed to chemicals and liquids. This bristle blend uses the ability of natural bristle to hold liquid and the solvent resistance of synthetic fibres, which lets wood stains spread evenly over the surface without the bristles going limp.
The handle of the brush is made of FSC-certified beech finished with lacquer. The lacquer forms a protective surface on the wooden handle, which stops paint and varnish splashes soaking into the material and makes the tool easier to keep clean after use. The shaped handle allows a steady grip while working.
The bristles are fixed to the handle with a tin-plated steel ferrule. The G02 series natural bristle wood stain brush is available in several widths from 1 inch up to 3 inches, so you can choose the width to suit the area to be treated, whether it is a narrow panel or a wide decking board.
Intended use:
- Wood protection and impregnation: The brush is suitable for applying wood stains, impregnating agents and primers to wooden surfaces. The combination of special fibres and natural bristle holds liquid and releases it evenly onto the surface.
- Varnishing and glazes: Suitable for applying varnishes, translucent stains and glazes. The shape of the bristles helps achieve an even film thickness along the grain of the wood.
- Applying wood oils: Can be used to brush various wood oils on decks, wooden furniture and other outdoor or indoor wooden structures.

Painter wood stain brush natural bristle instructions for use:
Before first use, brush the brush lightly by hand to remove loose dust or individual bristles left loose in manufacturing. Dip the brush into the product no more than a third of the bristle length, so that the liquid does not run into the ferrule and down to the handle.
During breaks in work, protect the brush from drying out by wrapping it in plastic or keeping it in a storage liquid intended for the product used.
Clean the brush immediately after use. For cleaning, use the solvent or thinner recommended by the manufacturer of the chemical applied. Once the chemical has been removed, also wash the brush with soapy water, rinse and leave it to dry with the bristles pointing down or hanging from the handle.
Warnings:
Make sure the room is ventilated when using solvent-based varnishes or wood stains. Wear protective equipment according to the safety instructions of the manufacturer of the chemical used. Do not leave the brush standing on its bristles in a cleaning container for long periods, so that the fibres do not bend permanently.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Can this brush be used for water-based paints?
This natural bristle wood stain brush is designed primarily for solvent-based wood stains, varnishes and impregnating agents, but the share of OREL-T and synthetic fibre also allows use with many water-based products. Always check that the product used is suitable for the fibre blend.
How do I clean the brush after oiling?
To remove oil or a solvent-based product, use the solvent recommended by the product manufacturer, such as white spirit. After cleaning, wash the bristles with water and soap to remove solvent residue from the fibres.
What is the advantage of OREL-T fibre in wood protection?
OREL-T is a special fibre that keeps its shape when exposed to moisture and chemicals. Combined with natural bristle, it lets the brush hold enough thin liquid and keep its structure during use.
Recycling instructions (self-igniting and oxidising chemicals):
If the brush or other tools have been used with self-igniting or oxidising chemicals (such as finishes containing linseed oil or certain wood oils), there is a serious risk of spontaneous combustion and fire. Brushes, cleaning rags and cotton waste containing such substances can catch fire as they oxidise, even after work has stopped.
Immediately after use, a brush used with these substances must be fully immersed in a closable metal container filled with water. Alternatively, the brush and associated cleaning materials can be dried spread out on a non-combustible surface outdoors in a well-ventilated place until the substance has fully dried and the oxidation reaction has ended.
After water treatment or safe drying, these tools and cleaning materials must be taken, sealed, to a hazardous waste collection point according to the instructions of the original chemical manufacturer. They must never be put with ordinary mixed waste or combustible waste without the precautions above.
