Description
The Painter filler roller 40 cm Ø48mm is designed especially for fast application of heavy roller fillers and ready-mixed fillers to walls and ceilings. With this roller, transferring filler from the container to the surface is much faster than conventional application by hand with a spatula. The 40 cm width lets you cover exceptionally large areas in one stroke, which makes the whole work process significantly more efficient.
A key feature of the tool is the durable nylon material, attached to the 48 mm core with advanced Thermofusion technology. This heat-bonding method ensures that the pile stays firmly attached to the core even under the weight of heavy filler, preventing the pile from coming loose onto the surface being worked. Nylon has very high tensile strength and recovers its shape quickly, which is essential when transferring large amounts of viscous material at a time.
The 18 mm pile length of the roller is precisely sized for optimal pick-up and release of roller filler. It absorbs just the right amount of compound and releases it as an even layer onto the wall or ceiling. The edges of the roller are also bevelled, which is a critical feature in filling work. Bevelled edges prevent thick ridges of filler and roller marks forming at the edges of strokes, which reduces the need for later work and sanding.
To work, the Painter filler roller 40 cm needs a separate roller frame with an 8 mm wire. Combined with the right frame and an extension pole, the product gives an ergonomic working position even in large skim coats. Cleaning the tool carefully immediately after use is essential so that the nylon pile keeps its flexibility and ability to transfer filler next time.

Painter filler roller 40 cm Ø48mm instructions for use:
Wash the roller thoroughly with plain water before first use to remove any loose fibres and dust. Squeeze out the excess water so that the roller stays slightly damp; this helps the filler adhere and spread. Fit the roller to an 8 mm roller frame. Dip the roller in the filler container and roll it until the pile has picked up filler evenly across the whole width of the roller. Apply the filler to the wall or ceiling with even, overlapping strokes. Avoid pressing the roller too hard against the surface. Once the area has been rolled, finish the surface with a separate wide filling blade. Wash the roller thoroughly with plenty of water as soon as you finish, before the filler can dry in the pile.
Warnings:
- Do not let filler dry in the pile of the roller, as dried filler ruins the structure of the roller for good.
- The product is not intended for applying solvent-based paints or strong chemicals, as they can melt the nylon pile or the Thermofusion bond.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
What size roller frame does the Painter filler roller 40 cm need?
The roller is compatible with all roller frames that have an 8 mm thick mounting wire and fit a 40 cm wide roller.
Why are the edges of the roller bevelled?
Bevelled edges prevent sharp roller marks and lines of filler forming at the edges of the stroke, which makes the application more even and makes finishing the surface with a blade easier.
Can I use this roller for painting with ordinary wall paint?
This roller is not recommended for applying ordinary wall paint. The 18 mm nylon pile is designed specifically for heavy roller filler, and thinner paints may spatter or spread unevenly with this tool.
Recycling instructions:
A cleaned filler roller that has reached the end of its life is sorted as mixed waste (combustible waste) because of the materials it contains. If filler classified as hazardous waste has dried on the roller, dispose of the roller according to the disposal instructions for that chemical. The packaging materials of the product are sorted into plastic or cardboard collection according to local instructions.
