Description
The Painter E05 series general-purpose brush with plastic handle and mixed bristle is a multi-purpose finishing tool for a wide range of painting and varnishing projects. This brush is designed to work flexibly with different types of paint and varnish, giving even transfer of material to the surface.
The bristle head is made of a blend of synthetic fibres and natural bristle. The synthetic fibres give the bristles flexibility and the ability to keep their shape in different conditions, while the natural bristle optimises how well the brush holds paint and varnish. This blended structure lets the brush be used seamlessly with both water- and solvent-based finishes.
The body of the tool is a light plastic handle. The plastic handle withstands moisture and the various solvents used in painting, which makes it easy to clean after use. The ergonomics of the handle and the light material reduce strain on the wrist in long painting jobs.
The bristles are fixed firmly to the plastic handle with a tin-plated steel ferrule. The tin plating protects the ferrule against corrosion, extending the life of the tool. The E05 series general-purpose brush with plastic handle and mixed bristle is available in several widths from 30 mm up to 70 mm, with a thickness of 14 mm and a bristle length of 51 mm, so you can choose the right size for the area to be painted.
Intended use:
- General painting: Suitable for painting various indoor and outdoor surfaces with water- and solvent-based paints. The mixed bristle guarantees even spreading of the product on the surface.

Painter general-purpose brush plastic handle mixed bristle instructions for use:
Before you start painting, it is advisable to brush the brush lightly by hand to remove loose dust particles or bristles left loose in manufacturing. Dip the bristle head into the paint or varnish so that no more than a third of the bristle length is covered. This stops the product building up in the metal ferrule and handle.
During breaks, the brush can be wrapped tightly in a plastic bag or kept in liquid so that the bristles do not dry out or bend against the bottom of the container.
When painting or varnishing is finished, clean the brush thoroughly at once. Water-based products are cleaned with water and mild soap. Solvent-based products are cleaned with the solvent recommended by the paint manufacturer, after which the brush is washed with water and soap. Dry the cleaned brush and store it hanging with the bristles down.
Warnings:
Always make sure there is enough ventilation when using solvent-based paints or varnishes. Wear suitable personal protective equipment according to the chemical manufacturer’s instructions. Do not store the brush resting on its bristles in a cleaning container for long periods, as this permanently distorts the shape of the bristles. If the product is used with self-igniting substances (such as linseed oil), make sure the tool is safely disposed of or stored in a container of water.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Is this general-purpose brush with plastic handle and mixed bristle suitable for water-based paints?
