Description
Painter general-purpose brush Pro H01 90% TOPS mixed bristle FSC is designed for demanding finishing tasks that need good paint holding capacity and structural durability. The main features of this brush are its extra-thick bristle head and a sturdier, thicker wooden handle than usual, which together allow steady work in various painting and varnishing projects.
The core of the brush is its 90% TOPS mixed bristle. This marking means that at least 90 per cent of the bristles in the brush are full length. The combination of natural bristle and synthetic fibres guarantees that the brush can hold a large amount of paint or varnish at a time and release it evenly onto the surface. The extra-thick bristles reduce the need to keep dipping the brush in the paint container.
The body is an extra-thick wooden handle made of FSC-certified wood. The certification ensures that the wood comes from responsibly managed forests. The thicker handle gives a larger grip area than normal, which steadies the hold and balances the tool when the bristle head is heavy with paint.
The bristles are fixed to the wooden handle with a metal ferrule made of stainless steel (inox). Stainless steel withstands long exposure to water and strong solvents without corroding. This mechanical fixing keeps the bristles firmly in place through repeated cleaning and use. The brush range is available in several widths to meet the area requirements of different painting jobs.
Intended use:
- General painting: Suitable for painting various indoor and outdoor surfaces such as walls, ceilings, panels and doors. The thick bristle head allows large surfaces to be treated quickly.

- Preparation work: Works for applying various primers and bonding primers that need a thick coat.

Painter general-purpose brush Pro H01 instructions for use:
Before first use, it is a good idea to brush the brush lightly by hand to remove loose dust from manufacturing. Dip the bristle head into the paint or finish so that the liquid covers at most half the length of the bristles. This stops the product running and building up inside the steel ferrule, which makes the brush easier to clean later.
During breaks in work, protect the brush from drying out by wrapping it tightly in plastic or keeping it in a storage liquid intended for the paint in question. Do not leave the brush resting on its bristles on the bottom of the container, so that they do not bend permanently.
Clean the brush immediately after use. Water-based products are washed out with warm water and mild soap. Solvent-based products are first cleaned with the solvent recommended by the paint manufacturer and then washed with water and soap to remove solvent residue. Dry the brush by hanging it from the handle or laying it on a flat surface with the bristles straightened.
Warnings:
Always make sure the room is well ventilated when using solvent-based paints, varnishes or wood stains. Wear suitable personal protective equipment according to the chemical manufacturer’s safety data sheet. Note the risk of spontaneous combustion if the brush is used to apply oxidising oils (e.g. linseed oil), and make sure it is disposed of properly or stored in a container of water.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Why choose an extra-thick handle and bristles?
Extra-thick bristles hold more paint, which speeds up work. The thicker handle helps balance the weight of the heavy bristle head full of paint, making the grip steadier and reducing strain on the wrist in long use.
What does 90% TOPS mean?
It means that at least 90 per cent of the bristles in the brush run the full length of the brush, from the ferrule to the tip. This construction maximises the product’s absorption and release capacity compared with brushes that have more short bristles.
Does the stainless ferrule withstand all solvents?
Yes, the inox ferrule is completely stainless and is designed to withstand all ordinary solvents and thinners used in painting and cleaning without oxidation or corrosion.
Recycling instructions:
A brush that is completely dry and cleaned of chemicals can be disposed of with mixed waste. If the brush has residues of chemicals classified as hazardous, it must be taken to a hazardous waste collection point according to local waste regulations. Packaging materials (such as the retail card or plastic wrap) are sorted into the corresponding recycling bins.
