Description
The Procat telescopic extension pole is designed to make painting easier and improve reach on high or hard-to-reach areas such as ceilings and high walls. The pole is made of aluminium, which makes it lightweight. The low weight reduces physical strain on the user, especially during long periods of work when the pole has to be held in a raised position.
The length of the pole is steplessly adjustable between 135 – 240 cm. The length is adjusted with an integrated twist mechanism that allows quick locking and unlocking while working. At the end of the pole there is a universal push-fit connection (without threads), which is compatible with the handles of most paint rollers on the market and other tools with a similar connection.
Intended use:
- Painting walls and ceilings without ladders or scaffolding.
- Working hard-to-reach surfaces, such as stairwell walls or parts of high facades, with a paint roller.
- Use with other tools that have a compatible push-fit connection, such as washing brushes or spatulas, to extend reach.
Features:
- Material: Body of lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminium.
- Adjustable length: Stepless adjustment range 135 cm – 240 cm.
- Locking mechanism: Easy-to-use, quick twist lock for adjusting the pole length.
- Tool connection: Universal push-fit joint (cone/friction) without threads, wide compatibility with rollers from different manufacturers.
- Handling: The lightweight construction improves working ergonomics.
Technical specifications:
- Minimum length: 135 cm.
- Maximum length: 240 cm.
- Material: Aluminium (body), plastic (handle/locking parts).
- Connection type: Push-fit connection.
Instructions for use:
Attach the paint roller or other tool to the end of the pole by pressing it firmly into the push-fit joint. Pull to check that the tool is locked and does not come off. Adjust the pole length by opening the twist lock (turn anticlockwise), sliding the inner pole to the required length and locking the position by turning the lock clockwise until it is tight. Make sure you have a stable base and a safe working position before you start. When you have finished, clean off any paint splashes, release the lock and push the pole to its shortest position for storage.
Warnings:
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK: The aluminium pole conducts electricity. Never use the pole near power lines, bare conductors or live equipment. Before use, always make sure the tool is properly attached to the pole and the length lock is firmly tightened, so that the pole does not slide shut or the tool fall during use. Do not try to exceed the marked maximum length of the pole (red stop mark, if present), as this reduces the stability and safety of the product.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Does this fit all paint rollers?
The pole has a universal push-fit connection that fits most paint rollers on the market. It does not fit rollers that require a threaded connection.
Can the pole lock loosen during use?
If the twist lock is tightened properly before starting work, it should stay locked. However, it is advisable to check the tightness regularly during long periods of work.
Can the pole withstand heavy pressure?
The aluminium pole is designed for normal painting work. Excessive force or twisting, especially when the pole is fully extended, can bend the aluminium tube.
Recycling instructions:
The main material of the product is aluminium, which can be recycled in metal collection. Separate any plastic parts (handle, locking mechanism) and recycle them in line with plastic recycling instructions where possible, or dispose of them as mixed waste.
