Description
Vorel packing tape 48 mm / 66 m is a clear packing tape for sealing cardboard boxes. The roll is 48 mm wide and 66 m long, which is the most common packing tape size and fits standard tape dispensers.
The tape film is OPP plastic (oriented polypropylene). The film is thin but stiff in tension, so the tape does not stretch or break when pulled off the roll.
The tape is colourless and transparent, so markings, text and barcodes on the box show through the tape. Clear tape also suits packages whose appearance you want to keep neat.
The roll works for both taping by hand and machine packing in a taping machine. Narrower tape widths are suitable for sealing small packages and labelling bundles.

Vorel packing tape 48 mm / 66 m instructions for use:
Preparation: Make sure the surface of the box is dry, clean and free of dust. The tape sticks poorly to damp, greasy or dusty cardboard.
Taping: Put the roll in a tape dispenser and pull the tape over the seam so that it extends about 5 cm down the sides of the box. Press the tape down along its whole length with the dispenser’s pressure roller or your palm. Reinforce heavy boxes with H-taping: the lengthwise seam and both end seams.
Storage: Store the roll in a dry place at room temperature, out of direct sunlight. A cold surface and cold tape reduce adhesion: let the tape warm up before use.
Warnings:
- The cutting blade on the tape dispenser is sharp: keep your fingers away from the front of the blade and store the dispenser with the blade covered.
- The tape does not replace strapping or stretch film for securing heavy loads.
- Do not use the tape on hot, oily or wet surfaces; the adhesive will not stick.
- Keep the roll out of the reach of children.
