Fitting:
Clean the floor area carefully before placing the plate. Place the Vorel stove floor plate directly on the floor in front of the opening of the fireplace (stove, open fire, cooker). Make sure the plate lies flat and no debris is left under it that could make the plate rock or scratch the floor. The longer side of the plate (60 cm) should usually follow the width of the fireplace, and the shorter side (40 cm) should extend away from the fireplace over the area to be protected.
Use:
Make sure the plate covers a large enough area in front of the fireplace door so that any falling sparks or embers land on the plate. The plate is designed to withstand occasional dropped glowing material, but do not leave large amounts of glowing embers on the plate for long.
Cleaning and maintenance:
Clean ash and soot off the plate regularly. Ash can be swept off with a brush or vacuumed with an ash vacuum (make sure the ash is cold).
