Description
Yato cordless torch 18V 300LM (YT-829690) is a handheld light for the Yato 18 V battery system, whose COB LED light source produces a luminous flux of 300 lm at a power of 3 W . The light is a body-only version without a battery or charger; the battery locks into the slot at the bottom of the body and also serves as the foot.
The head turns 90°, so the beam can be aimed forwards or straight up while the light stands on a surface. The beam angle is 120°, which means the COB light source gives a wide, even beam for close work without a sharp centre spot.
The handle has a rubber coating and a wrist strap that stops the light from falling when working with gloves on. The body measures 210 × 90 × 65 mm and its weight without the battery is 0.26 kg.
The colour temperature of the light is 6000–6500 K and the colour rendering index CRI ≥ 80. The impact resistance rating is IK07, the IP rating IP20 (indoor use), protection class III and the stated service life of the LED light source 50,000 hours. The EAN code is 5906083109195.
Uses and suitability:
The Yato cordless torch 18V 300LM is intended for lighting the work indoors as a one-hand light when there is no mains power or a cable would get in the way.
- Workshop and service work: inspecting the engine bay, chassis and machine recesses; the wide 120° beam lights the whole work area at once.
- Construction and installation work: switchboards, suspended ceilings and pipe ducts; the head that turns 90° aims the light upwards when the light stands on the floor.
- Warehouses and technical rooms: inspection rounds and shelf aisles; the wrist strap keeps the light with you on ladders.
- Yato 18 V battery system: the same battery as in the power tools in the range and, for example, the Yato cordless work light 18V / 230V 1600LM 20W light.

Fitting the battery: push a charged Yato 18 V battery into the guides of the slot until the latch locks, and pull it to make sure the battery does not come loose. Use only compatible batteries and Yato chargers; the slot or the battery must not be modified.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Is a battery included with the Yato cordless torch 18V 300LM body? No. The light works with Yato 18 V Li-Ion batteries YT-82842…YT-82845 and YT-828461…YT-828465, which are charged with Yato chargers YT-828498…YT-828504.
What is the difference between a COB LED and an ordinary LED torch? A COB light source forms a uniform light surface that gives an even 120° beam without separate light spots and shadow rings.
How far does the head turn? 90°, so the beam is aimed forwards or straight up while the body stands on a surface.
Can the light be used outdoors? The IP rating is IP20, so the light is intended for dry indoor spaces.
How long does the light run? The operating time depends on the battery capacity; at 3 W, a larger battery gives a correspondingly longer operating time.
Recycling instructions:
Packaging: cardboard to paper collection, plastic bags and covers to plastic collection or energy waste.
Device: a discarded light is waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and must not be disposed of with mixed waste. Take it to a WEEE collection point or to the collection point of a shop selling electrical equipment. Take the removable Li-Ion battery separately to a battery collection point with the terminals taped; a damaged battery must not be transported without protection.
The Yato cordless torch 18V 300LM is marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol, which means separate collection under the EU WEEE Directive.
