Description

The Yato cup brush M6 25 mm stainless steel is a compact cleaning and preparation brush for metal surfaces, designed for drills. The wire, made of stainless steel (INOX), withstands moisture and reduces the risk of iron contamination on stainless steel surfaces. The small Ø25 mm diameter gives excellent visibility and control in recesses, corners and shaped profiles.

The cup design spreads contact evenly and prevents the edge from digging in, which makes the brush suitable for creating an even microstructure before priming, coating or bonding. The M6 fitting goes straight into the drill chuck or an adapter, and the adjustable speed of the drill allows controlled work even on thin sheet and heat-sensitive workpieces.

Typical uses are removing rust, flaking paint and oxides, light cleaning of weld areas and pre-cleaning small parts and details. When used correctly, with light to moderate pressure and a suitable speed, the brush produces a uniform surface without excessive material removal.

Intended use:

  • Removing rust and paint residues from tight spots: The Ø25 mm cup reaches into recesses, corners and narrow profiles. Even brushing removes corrosion and weak coatings, leaving a roughness that improves adhesion for later coating.

  • Light cleaning of weld areas and removing oxides: The small brush is ideal for seams, edges and hard-to-reach spots where larger accessories do not work. The even finish reduces the need for later grinding.

  • Keying the surface before coating/bonding: Mechanical keying creates a uniform microstructure that improves the mechanical adhesion of adhesives and coatings, especially on small steel parts and joint surfaces.

  • Maintenance outdoors and in damp conditions: The corrosion resistance of the INOX wire suits local repairs to outdoor steel structures and pre-cleaning of railings and equipment parts without the risk of iron contamination.

Yato cup brush M6 25 mm stainless steel: instructions for use:

  1. Fitting: Disconnect the drill from the battery/mains. Fit the brush to the M6 fitting/chuck straight and centred; tighten according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

  2. Test run: Run it briefly without load. Stop if there is abnormal vibration or “runout”.

  3. Working: Keep a shallow angle and make even sweeps. Let the brush do the work; avoid point pressure and heat build-up.

  4. Breaks: Stop regularly, remove loose material and check for wear/imbalance.

  5. Maintenance: Clean off dust and swarf; dry and store in a dry place. Do not force bent wires straight.

Warnings:

  • Always wear safety glasses/a visor, a respirator suited to the dust level, protective gloves and, if necessary, ear defenders.

4.2 Riskienhallintatoimet

  • PPE: suojalasit/visiiri pakollinen; pölytasoon sopiva P2/P3-hengityksensuojain; suojakäsineet; tarvittaessa kuulosuojaimet.

  • Kiinnitys ja koeajo: kiinnitä suoraan ja keskitetysti M6:een/istukkaan; suorita lyhyt tyhjäkäyntikoe; keskeytä, jos on poikkeavaa tärinää/heittoa.

  • Työmenetelmä: loiva kulma, kevyt–kohtalainen paine; tasaiset pyyhkäisyt; vältä pitkäaikaista pistemäistä kosketusta ja ylikuumenemista.

  • Prosessinhallinta: säädä kierrosluku kohteen mukaan; tauota säännöllisesti ja poista irtoaines.

  • Kunnonvalvonta: tarkista ennen jokaista käyttöä (lankojen kuluma, kupin vauriot); vaihda heti, jos epätasapainoa tai vaurioita havaitaan.

  • Työtila: hyvä ilmanvaihto/pölynpoisto; poista syttyvät materiaalit kipinöintialueelta; suojaa johdot mekaaniselta vauriolta.

5. Käyttö- ja huolto-ohjeet

  1. Asennus: Irrota pora akusta/verkosta. Kiinnitä harja M6-kiinnitykseen/istukkaan tukevasti ja keskitetysti; kiristä valmistajan ohjeen mukaan.

  2. Aloitus: Aseta maltillinen kierrosluku; tee lyhyt koeajo vapaalla ja varmista tasainen käynti.

  3. Työskentely: Anna aaltolangan tehdä työ; vältä liiallista painetta ja paikallaan hankausta. Pieni Ø25 mm mahdollistaa tarkan työskentelyn koloissa ja kulmissa.

  4. Tauotus: Pysäytä säännöllisesti, poista irtoaines ja tarkista kuluma/epätasapaino.

  5. Huolto ja säilytys: Puhdista pölystä/lastuista; kuivaa ja säilytä kuivassa. Älä oikaise vääntyneitä lankoja väkisin.
