Description
Yato cable tie 7.6 mm is a black cable tie made of UV-protected PA66 polyamide for heavier-duty bundling. The strap is 7.6 mm wide, which is wider than a standard installation cable tie, and the pack contains 50 ties. Choose the length from the product variations.
PA66 polyamide resists tearing and mechanical stress better than ordinary cable tie plastic. The material is UV-protected, so the ties can be used indoors and outdoors. The strap’s breaking strength is 55 kg and the maximum bundle diameter is 50 mm.
One side of the strap has fine teeth that lock into the locking head. The fine tooth pitch gives small adjustment steps for the loop size, so the tie can be tightened precisely to the circumference of the bundle. The lock cannot be opened without damaging the tie, so it is removed by cutting.
The material resists solvents, oil, grease and salt water, and the operating temperature range is -20…+80 °C. The flammability rating is UL-94 V-2. The ties are suitable for bundling cables, wiring harnesses, hoses and pipes, and for tying items and packages. For thinner bundles, use the Procat mini lashing strap, and for fastenings that are opened repeatedly, the Procat braided PE rope.
Intended use and suitability:
A wide cable tie is intended for applications where the weight of the bundle or vibration puts stress on the tie and the tie stays in place permanently.
- Cabling: assembling wiring harnesses and cable bundles and fixing them to brackets.
- Hoses and pipes: bundling hoses and fixing them to a frame.
- Outdoor applications: the UV-protected material withstands sunlight on fences, work sites and vehicles.
- Packing and transport: tying boxes, reels and loose parts to a pallet.
- Fixings: tying signs, guards and light parts in place.
Package contents:
- 50 pcs cable ties, width 7.6 mm, colour black
Features:
- PA66 polyamide: resists tearing and mechanical stress.
- UV protection: suitable for outdoor use in sunlight.
- Breaking strength 55 kg: the wide strap withstands heavier bundles.
- Fine teeth: the loop size adjusts precisely to the circumference of the bundle.
- Chemical resistance: solvents, oil, grease and salt water do not make the material brittle.
- Flammability rating UL-94 V-2: the material is self-extinguishing according to the rating.
- Black colour: reduces embrittlement caused by light.

Yato cable tie 7.6 mm instructions for use:
Tying: Wrap the strap around the bundle and thread the end through the lock. Pull the strap until the loop is tight. The teeth lock in every position, so you can increase the tension gradually.
Choosing the tension: Tighten so that the strap does not press into the cable sheath. A tie that is too tight damages the conductor insulation and raises the cable temperature.
Cutting off the excess: Cut off the excess strap at the edge of the lock with pliers or a cable tie cutter. Leave a straight cut edge: an angled stub is sharp.
Removal: The tie is single-use. It is removed by cutting the strap with side cutters.
Storage: Store the ties in a dry place out of direct sunlight.
Warnings:
- The cut end of the strap is sharp and can cut. Cut the end flush with the lock and wear gloves.
- Do not use cable ties for lifting, supporting loads or tying people.
- Do not tighten the tie into the cable sheath; compressing the insulation damages the conductor.
- The tie is single-use: a tie that has been retightened or opened does not hold the stated strength.
- The material becomes brittle at temperatures above 80 degrees. Do not use it around hot surfaces such as exhaust pipes.
- Keep out of the reach of children.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
How does the Yato cable tie 7.6 mm differ from narrower cable ties? The wider strap spreads the force over a larger area and withstands a breaking strength of 55 kg, while a standard 2.5–4.8 mm tie falls well short of this.
Does the tie last outdoors? The material is UV-protected black PA66 polyamide, which is also intended for outdoor use.
Can the tie be opened and reused? No. The lock is single-locking, and the tie is removed by cutting.
What is the largest bundle size? The bundle diameter can be at most 50 mm; the tie length you need depends on the variation.
What does UL-94 V-2 mean? It is a flammability rating for plastics in which the material extinguishes itself within a specified time after the flame is removed.
Recycling instructions:
Used and cut cable ties are PA66 plastic and are sorted into plastic collection or energy waste according to local guidelines. Clean dirt off ties removed from cables before sorting. Packaging materials go to carton and plastic collection.
