Description
The Yato 7.6 mm white cable tie is a single-use fastening tie made of PA66 polyamide (nylon 6.6). The tie is 7.6 mm wide and has a maximum tensile strength of 55 kg. The material is UV-protected, so the white tie can also be used outdoors in places exposed to sunlight.
One side of the tie has fine serrations and the end has a locking head. When the tip is pulled through the locking head, the serrations lock and the loop tightens to the required size. The lock cannot be opened without damaging the tie, so the fastening stays in place under vibration and tension. The fine tooth pitch allows the loop to be adjusted precisely to the girth of the object being fastened.
According to the manufacturer, the PA66 material resists solvents, oils, greases and salt water. The operating temperature is −20…+80 °C and the melting point of the material is 215–225 °C. The flammability rating is UL 94 V-2 and the dielectric strength is 300 kV/mm.
The cable ties are sold in packs of 50 pieces in a hanging plastic bag. The product is available in several lengths, and the maximum bundle diameter increases with the length of the tie. On white wires, pipes and light-coloured surfaces, the white colour stands out less than a black tie.
Intended use and suitability:
The wide 7.6 mm cable tie is intended for applications where a narrow tie is not strong enough or where the fastening has to withstand outdoor conditions.
- Bundling cables and wires: Power, data and control cables are bundled into neat runs on cable trays, in switchgear and in equipment rooms. For smaller wire bundles, a suitable option is the narrower Vorel cable tie white 2.5 x 80 mm 100 pcs.
- Fastening hoses and pipes: Pressure, water and protective hoses as well as light pipes are tied to each other or to brackets. Its resistance to oil and grease makes the tie suitable for machine halls and vehicles.
- Outdoor use: The UV-protected material is suitable for fences, netting, wiring for lamps and outdoor lights, and garden structures, as long as the operating temperature stays within −20…+80 °C.
- Fastening and packing items: The tie can be used, for example, to fasten wheel trims and number plates and to bundle goods for transport or storage.
- Light-coloured applications: The white tie suits installations on white cables and light-coloured surfaces. For dark applications, the same technical values are available in the Yato cable tie 7.6 mm black, UV-protected, 50 pcs / pack.
Package contents:
- 50 pcs white Yato cable ties, width 7.6 mm, length according to the selected model.
- Hanging plastic bag with header card.
Features:
- PA66 polyamide: Nylon 6.6 gives the tie good tear strength and withstands loaded fastenings.
- UV protection: The material withstands sunlight better than unprotected polyamide, so the tie is suitable for outdoor installations.
- 7.6 mm strap width: The wide tie has a tensile strength of up to 55 kg.
- Self-locking head: The tie tightens in one direction and cannot be opened without damaging it. The fastening does not loosen under vibration.
- Fine serrations: The loop size adjusts in small steps to the girth of the object being fastened.
- Chemical resistance: Resists solvents, oils, greases and salt water.
- Tapered tip: The tip is easy to thread through the locking head and into tight gaps.

How to use the Yato 7.6 mm white cable tie:
- Choose the length according to the diameter of the bundle. The maximum bundle diameter of the tie is given in the description of each length.
- Wrap the tie around the object with the serrated side facing inwards.
- Thread the tip through the locking head and pull until the loop is as tight as required. The lock holds the tie in place immediately.
- Finish tightening by hand or with cable tie pliers. Overtightening can press a dent into the sheath of a soft cable.
- Cut off the excess tail flush with the locking head using side cutters so that no sharp-edged stub is left.
- To remove the tie, cut through it. An opened tie cannot be reused.
Install the tie at a temperature within the operating range of −20…+80 °C. Polyamide stiffens in the cold. In freezing conditions, tighten the tie slowly.
Warnings:
- Loads: Do not use the tie for lifting, for suspending items above people or for securing loads. The tensile strength of 55 kg is the breaking limit of the tie, not a safe working load.
- Heat and fire: The material has the flammability rating UL 94 V-2. Keep the tie away from flames, hot surfaces and temperatures above +80 °C.
- Sharp edges: The cut tail and stub can be sharp. Cut flush and collect the offcuts.
- People and animals: Do not tighten the tie around the limb, neck or any other body part of a person or animal.
- Children: Keep cable ties and offcuts out of the reach of children. Small cut pieces can present a choking hazard.
- Electrical installations: The tie does not replace the fixings required by installation regulations. Disconnect the power from the cables before bundling.
