Description
Yato YT-64320 is a quick-action clamp designed for fixing the guide rails of power tools. Its main job is to lock various guide rails to the workpiece during mechanical sawing or routing, removing any chance of the rail moving sideways by accident.
The mechanical body and jaws of the clamp are made of high tensile strength A3 steel. The chemical blackening of the surface gives the tool a protective layer against corrosion, which allows continuous use without oxidation even in changing or damp industrial and site environments.
In terms of capacity, the clamp has an overall length of 300 mm, a maximum jaw opening of 150 mm and a jaw depth of 70 mm. The built-in quick-release mechanism lets you move the jaw instantly and apply clamping force quickly, which optimises the time spent changing workpieces or setups in series production. The rail piece is 11 mm wide.
Operation and clamping force are provided by an ergonomic handle that combines polyamide (PA6) and thermoplastic rubber (TPR). This composite construction transfers the force applied by the user efficiently to the A3 steel jaws while keeping a steady, high-friction grip even in dusty conditions.
Intended use and suitability:
The clamp is designed to integrate with existing power tool guide systems to maximise safety at work and machining accuracy.
- Locking guide rails for plunge saws: The upper jaw of the clamp slides into the T-slot on the underside of the guide rail, locking the rail tightly against the wood or board material being sawn and stopping the rail from shifting under the vibration of the machine.
- Fixing router guides: Lets you set the guide rails of plunge routers steadily in place for complex groove routing, where the 70 mm jaw depth of the clamp is enough to reach the edge of the workbench or material safely.
- General workpiece clamping: Can also be used as a conventional quick clamp in assembly and gluing when a fast 150 mm opening and direct clamping force are needed.
Package contents:
The pack contains a clamp ready for work, with no separate parts to assemble.
- 1 pc Yato YT-64320 guide rail clamp, opening 150 mm
Features:
The features of the product are based on combining quick adjustment with mechanical durability.
- Quick-release mechanism: Lets the jaw slide freely along the bar and locks the clamping instantly without long turning of threads.
- A3 steel construction: Guarantees high resistance to deformation and keeps the clamping force stable under the resonance caused by heavy power tools.
- Corrosion-protected black coating: Protects the steel body from air and moisture, preventing rust and keeping the sliding mechanism working.
- PA6 and TPR handle: The two-component material damps vibration and gives high friction for the clamping action without mechanical slipping.
Technical specifications:
- Overall length: 300 mm
- Maximum opening (jaw gap): 150 mm
- Maximum jaw depth: 70 mm
- Body material: A3 steel
- Handle material: PA6 (polyamide) and TPR (thermoplastic rubber)
- Clamping type: Quick-release
- Surface finish: Blackened
Yato YT-64320 instructions for use:
Place the fixed upper jaw of the clamp in the mounting slot on the underside of the power tool guide rail. Slide the clamp along the slot to the fixing point you want, at the edge of the workpiece.
Press the quick-release button or release the locking mechanism to move the lower clamping jaw upwards until the protective face of the jaw touches the underside of the workpiece. Squeeze the ergonomic handle repeatedly, pumping it, until the clamping force needed is reached and the guide rail cannot move at all.
When the work is done, release the clamping force by pressing the quick-release lever at the back or base of the handle and pull the jaw off the workpiece. Remove the clamp from the slot of the guide rail.
Warnings:
Note the following physical risks and precautions when using the tool.
- Pinching hazard: The quick-release mechanism releases the jaw quickly. Keep your fingers out from between the jaws when releasing the clamping, to avoid mechanical injuries.
- Risk of falling: Make sure the contact surface between the clamp jaws and the workpiece is clean and straight. If fitted at an angle, the rail fixing can fail under the thrust of the power tool.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Does the Yato YT-64320 fit the guide rails of other manufacturers, such as Festool or Makita?
The upper jaw of the clamp is profiled to fit the standard T-slots used in the aluminium guide rails of most mainstream power tool brands (e.g. Festool, Makita, Bosch). Always check that your rail’s slot is compatible before tightening. The rail piece of the YT-64320 is 11 mm wide
Can the clamp be used to spread pieces, or does it only clamp?
This model is designed structurally only for clamping and for fixing guide rails. Reversing the jaws for a spreading function is not possible with this construction.
How is the quick-release mechanism maintained?
Keep the mechanism working by regularly cleaning sawdust and dust off the A3 steel bar. A clean bar and occasional light lubrication of the locking mechanism keep it sliding smoothly.
Recycling instructions:
At the end of its life, the tool is taken apart by material. The A3 steel body and jaws go to metal collection. The PA6/TPR composite handle is sorted as combustible waste or energy waste according to local instructions. Packaging materials (usually cardboard or PE plastic) are sorted at the corresponding collection points.
