Description
Idealgas LPG hose 10 m / 8 mm is a high-quality gas hose designed for professional use, made from a special 100% NBR rubber compound (nitrile rubber). This material was chosen for its excellent durability and gives exceptional protection against abrasion, varied weather conditions and mechanical stress. The hose is designed to keep its flexibility and reliability even at extreme temperatures, which makes it a reliable choice for demanding work environments.
The hose has a three-layer construction: a smooth black NBR inner tube, a very strong synthetic textile reinforcement and an orange, weather-resistant outer layer. This multi-layer construction ensures that the hose withstands a working pressure of up to 20 bar and has an impressive burst pressure of 60 bar. Certification to the UNI EN ISO 3821 standard guarantees that the product meets even the strictest safety requirements on construction sites and in industry.
One of the main advantages of this hose is its kink resistance. In professional use, hoses are often pulled and twisted, but the special Idealgas material composition stops the hose from kinking and blocking the gas flow. This improves safety at work and extends the service life of the product considerably compared with ordinary rubber hoses.
This model comes with pre-fitted 3/8″ threaded connectors, which allow fast and safe connection to gas cylinders and burners without separate crimping tools. The 10-metre length gives a wide working radius, which is essential in roofing and insulation work, for example, where freedom of movement is key to working efficiently.
All markings on the hose comply with the standards and include the date of manufacture and conformity with the standard. This makes it easier to monitor the condition and age of the hose, which is a critical part of maintaining gas systems and ensuring safety.
Intended use:
- Roofing and bitumen waterproofing: In professional construction, this hose is widely used to supply LPG burners during roof renovations. The 10-metre length allows a large working area without having to keep moving the heavy gas cylinder. The special NBR rubber withstands the intense heat on the roof and mechanical abrasion against rough surfaces, which guarantees uninterrupted and safe work even in difficult conditions.
- Industrial heating: In industrial environments, the hose is used to connect high-output gas heaters and drying equipment. Its high pressure rating and resistance to oils and chemicals make it the optimal choice for engineering workshops and factories, where ordinary PVC hoses quickly become brittle. The kink resistance ensures an even gas pressure, which is critical for keeping the burner flame and efficiency at their best.
- Plumbing and installation work: Plumbers and metalworkers use this hose to connect soldering and welding torches. The 3/8″ connectors give a standard, secure connection that does not leak even under vibration. As the hose withstands frost down to -30 degrees, it is excellent for winter installations and outdoor sites, where the elasticity of materials is put to the test and the risk of cracking must be minimised.

Idealgas LPG hose instructions for use:
Check the condition of the hose visually before use. Make sure there are no cuts or cracks in the surface. Connect the 3/8″ connectors tightly to the gas cylinder regulator and the burner. Use a suitable spanner to tighten the threads, but avoid overtightening. Always do a leak test on the connections with soapy water before lighting the burner. After use, close the gas cylinder valve and let the gas in the hose burn off before turning off the burner. Store the hose coiled, avoiding sharp bends, preferably in a shaded, cool place. Check the year of manufacture of the hose regularly and replace the hose with a new one at least every 5 years, or at once if you notice signs of wear.
Warnings:
- Do not use a damaged or brittle hose.
- Make sure the hose does not come into contact with open fire or a direct flame.
- Do not exceed the stated maximum working pressure of 20 bar.
- Avoid pulling the hose over sharp edges.
- Gas work always requires particular care and adequate ventilation.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Question: How often does an LPG hose need replacing?
Answer: For professional use, checking the condition of the hose every year is recommended. The usual replacement interval is 3–5 years, depending on the conditions of use. If the hose shows cracks or has hardened, it must be replaced immediately.
Question: Does this hose withstand frost?
Answer: Yes, the Idealgas NBR hose is designed to withstand frost down to -30°C while staying flexible, which is critical for safe use in Finnish winter conditions.
Question: Can this hose be used with gases other than LPG?
Answer: This hose is optimised for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). For other gases, compatibility must always be checked against the UNI EN ISO 3821 standard.
Recycling instructions:
Packaging: Cardboard packaging goes to cardboard collection. Plastic wrapping goes to plastic collection.
Product: A discarded rubber hose goes to mixed waste. The metal connectors can be cut off and recycled through metal collection for material recovery.
