Description
Tile levelling system tightening pliers for the wedge-type tile levelling system. With the tightening pliers you tighten the tightening wedges firmly into the levelling clips so that all the edges of the tiles are perfectly level.
The system lets you level the tiles to the same height, so there are no height differences at all between them. The perfect aid for both DIY enthusiasts and professionals who want to achieve a perfect finish quickly.
When laying floor tiles, it is extremely important that the tiles are laid at the same level. Laying tiles evenly can be difficult even for a professional and can take a considerable amount of time. Unevenly laid floor tiles feel unpleasant to walk on, and the height differences formed by their edges can cause sore toes and look bad in indirect lighting.
The levelling clips are single-use and are snapped off under the tiles once the adhesive has dried.
Tip: You can also use tile spacers to set the joint size if the levelling system creates too thin a joint.
Instructions for use
- Spread the required amount of tile adhesive on a level surface using a notched trowel of the right size.
- Place a levelling clip between two floor tiles so that the foot of the clip is under the tiles and the upright part between them. The upright part automatically creates a joint between the tiles that matches the width of the clip.
- Push a tightening wedge through the levelling clip so that it rests on top of both tiles.
- Tighten the tightening wedge against the levelling clip using the tightening pliers, which brings the edges of the tiles to the same level.
- Repeat the process over the whole floor, so that the entire floor is level and no unevenness forms between the tiles.
- When the adhesive has dried, remove the tightening pieces from the clips and tap the clips lightly.
- When tapped, the clips snap off cleanly along the break line of the base piece, after which you can sweep the broken pieces off the floor.
- The levelling clips stay hidden under the grout. The grout goes into place best with a high-quality grout float.
- When the grout has dried, clean the loose grout off the tiles with a tile cleaning kit, for example.
