Glass cutters are mainly used for cutting large glass and window panes. Splitting glass is easy when you have the right tools. To make the glass break straight at exactly the right point, it must be scored with a glass cutter. Press the cutter firmly against the glass, using a ruler, for example, and score the glass. The glass can be split along the score by pressing it down on both sides of the score.
