Description
Designed for treating large areas, the Painter floor roller 40 cm is an efficient tool for coating large surfaces such as floors and wide walls. The 40 centimetre width of the roller allows fast work and covers a large area in one stroke. The product is designed especially for smooth and semi-rough surfaces where you want to leave as even a paint film as possible.
The surface material of the roller is hard-wearing nylon with a pile length of 13 millimetres. Nylon transfers paint efficiently and is suitable for applying many different liquid coatings, such as floor paints and products containing solvents. The bevelled edges at the ends of the roller are designed specifically to prevent paint lines left by the edges of the tool, which makes it easier to create a seamless surface at transitions.
The roller is made with thermofusion technology, in which the nylon pile is melted onto the inner core of the roller. The method ensures that the pile is firmly attached without separate adhesives, which prevents shedding during painting and makes the construction highly resistant to various thinners. The 48 mm diameter core turns easily while painting.
This product is fitted to a paint roller frame with an 8 millimetre wire and a width of 40 cm. Combined with a suitable frame and an extension pole suited to floor work, this floor roller forms a working set for ergonomic, smooth treatment of large surfaces.
Intended use:
- Floor painting: For applying various floor paints, coatings and floor varnishes to concrete or wood in large rooms.
- Painting large wall surfaces: For fast treatment of large wall areas on smooth and semi-rough indoor or outdoor surfaces.
- Applying protective coatings: Can be used for even application of various industrial coatings and two-component products on flat surfaces.
Package contents:
- 1 pc Painter floor roller 40 cm (Ø 48 mm, 13 mm pile)
Features:
- Width 40 cm: Allows fast, efficient treatment of a large area in one stroke, reducing the time spent on the work.
- 13 mm nylon pile: Transfers paint optimally to the surface and leaves an even finish on smooth and semi-rough surfaces.
- Bevelled edges: Reduce the amount of paint building up at the edges of the roller, which prevents visible paint lines forming on the surface being painted.
- Thermofusion construction: The pile is melted onto the roller core, which ensures permanent attachment of the parts and improves the tool’s resistance to chemicals.
- Compatible with an 8 mm frame: The core is standard-sized to fit 40 cm wide paint roller frames with an 8 mm wire.

Painter floor roller 40 cm instructions for use:
Before using the roller, wash it with water and soap or remove loose dust by dabbing the surface of the roller lightly with tape. This stops loose dirt being transferred to the surface to be painted. Fit the roller firmly to a 40 cm wide paint roller frame (8 mm wire) and make sure the core can turn freely. For floor work, fit the frame to an extension pole of suitable length for better ergonomics.
Pour paint into a wide paint tray intended for rollers of at least 40 cm. Load the roller evenly and roll it against the draining area of the tray or a separate painter’s grid so that the paint is absorbed evenly into the nylon pile. Apply the paint to the surface with long, parallel, even strokes. When you have finished painting, scrape the excess paint off the roller with a roller scraper and wash the roller with the thinner for the type of paint used (e.g. water or solvent). Let the roller dry hanging upright in an airy place for storage.
Warnings:
- The large 40 cm roller absorbs a considerable amount of paint, which makes it heavier to use; pay attention to correct working ergonomics.
- Always check that the paint or coating is chemically compatible with the roller materials before starting work.
- Make sure there is enough ventilation, especially when treating large floor areas with chemicals containing solvents.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
What kind of roller frame does the Painter floor roller 40 cm need?
You need a 40 cm wide roller frame with an 8 mm mounting wire. Most large bucket trays and floor painting frames are compatible with this size.
Is nylon suitable for solvent and epoxy paints?
Yes, nylon as a material withstands various solvents and two-component products very well, and the thermofusion technique prevents adhesive seams from melting when such products are used.
What do bevelled edges mean?
It means that the pile and core at the ends of the roller are slightly bevelled. This stops paint building up at the ends of the roller and so prevents hard paint lines being pressed into the surface while painting.
Recycling instructions:
When the roller is taken out of use, a roller that is completely clean, dry and free of paint residue can be sorted as energy waste or mixed waste according to local waste regulations. If the roller contains undried paint, solvent residue or other chemicals, pack it tightly and take it to a local hazardous waste collection point.
