Description
Painter Basic is a transparent protective film made of HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) for indoor use. Its thickness is 5 micrometres (5µm) and its overall dimensions are 4 x 5 metres, giving a coverage of 20 square metres.
The film works primarily as a physical barrier against liquids and dust. The product is designed for protecting furniture, floors and other surfaces during finishing and construction work.
The product is made in the European Union. The product number is FOL0549.
Intended use and suitability:
The product is designed for protecting items outside mechanical and chemical stress.
- Protecting surfaces during painting: The HDPE film stops paint splashes and liquids getting through. It is suitable for temporarily covering furniture and fixed floor surfaces indoors during painting and filling work.
- Dust protection: The 5µm material stops fine construction dust spreading onto protected surfaces on renovation sites where there is no mechanical abrasion.

Painter protective film Basic instructions for use:
Open the retail pack carefully, avoiding sharp tools that could damage the 5µm film inside. Unfold the protective film fully over the surface or furniture to be protected. If needed, fix the edges in place with masking tape to stop it slipping or being moved by draughts. After covering, check visually that the film has no tears. Remove the film carefully when the work is finished, folding the edges inwards to stop splashes spreading.
Warnings:
Safety points to note when covering and using.
- Suffocation hazard: Thin plastic film can cause suffocation. Keep the product out of the reach of children and animals at all times.
- Slipping hazard: The surface of HDPE film is slippery, especially if liquid is spilled on it or it is laid on a smooth floor.
- Heat sensitivity: Polyethylene does not withstand high temperatures. Keep the product away from open flames, heaters and hot tools.
