Description
The Procat screwdriver set 7 pcs contains four slotted and three cross-head (Phillips) screwdrivers. The slotted tips come in sizes 3 x 80 mm, 4 x 100 mm, 5.5 x 125 mm and 6.5 x 150 mm; the cross-head tips are PH0 x 60 mm, PH1 x 80 mm and PH2 x 100 mm. The first number in the marking is the tip size and the second the shaft length.
The tips are made of chrome vanadium steel (CrV). The alloy steel withstands the torque needed for driving screws without the corners of the tip rounding off, so the tip stays in the screw slot and does not strip it.
The tips are magnetic. The magnet holds the screw on the tip when you position it with one hand or drive it in a tight spot where you cannot support the screw with your fingers. The same magnet picks up a dropped screw from a narrow gap.
The handles are made of plastic and shaped for a palm grip: the thick rear part gives a surface for turning, and the narrower front part lets you guide the tip with your fingers. The set covers the most common tip sizes for fastening work, and the graded lengths of 60–150 mm give you both a short screwdriver for tight spots and a long one for deep recesses.
Uses and suitability:
A screwdriver is used to tighten and loosen screws by hand. The tip type and size are chosen according to the slot in the screw head.
- Slotted screws: 3–6.5 mm tips cover the heads of small furniture screws and wide-slot machine screws.
- Cross-head screws (PH): PH0, PH1 and PH2 match the heads of small electronics screws, furniture screws and ordinary wood screws.
- Furniture assembly: assembling furniture and fitting hardware where the screw is tightened fully by hand.
- Electrical and installation work: tightening terminal screws and connectors on de-energised equipment.
- Maintenance and repair: opening covers, guard plates and brackets on devices and machines.
- Deep recesses: the 125 and 150 mm shafts reach places a short shaft cannot.

Procat screwdriver set 7 pcs instructions for use:
Choose the tip according to the screw head. The width of a slotted tip must match the length of the slot and its thickness the width of the slot; the size of a cross-head tip (PH0–PH2) must fill the cross slot to the bottom. A tip that is too small strips the slot.
Place the tip in the slot and press the screwdriver in line with the screw while you turn. The pressure keeps the tip in the slot; turning alone without pressure lifts the tip out.
Keep the screwdriver at right angles to the screw axis. A screwdriver held at an angle loads one edge of the slot and damages both the screw and the tip.
Pre-drill a hole in wood when the screw is long or the wood is hard. Pre-drilling reduces the torque needed and prevents the wood from splitting.
Wipe the tips clean after use and store in a dry place. Check the tip regularly: a rounded or chipped tip damages the screw head, and the screwdriver must be taken out of use.
Warnings:
- The screwdrivers are not insulated. Do not use them on live equipment; carry out electrical work with the power off.
- Do not use the screwdriver as a chisel, lever, spike or nail puller; the shaft can bend or break.
- Do not strike the screwdriver handle with a hammer unless the screwdriver is a striking model with a through shaft.
- Support the workpiece and keep your other hand away from the front of the tip; a slipping tip causes puncture wounds.
- Wear safety glasses when a screw is rusted or seized and may break.
- The magnetic tip can affect magnetically sensitive devices and data media.
- Keep out of the reach of children.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Which tip sizes are in the set? Slotted tips 3 x 80 mm, 4 x 100 mm, 5.5 x 125 mm and 6.5 x 150 mm, and cross-head tips PH0 x 60 mm, PH1 x 80 mm and PH2 x 100 mm.
Are the tips magnetic? Yes, all the tips are magnetic and hold the screw on the tip during fitting.
What does the marking 5.5 x 125 mm mean? The first number is the width of the slotted tip in millimetres and the second the length of the shaft from the tip to the handle.
Do the cross-head tips fit PZ screws? The tips are Phillips type (PH). The slot of a PZ screw has a different shape, and a PH tip sits loosely in it.
Can the screwdriver be used for electrical work? Not on live equipment. The screwdrivers are not insulated or tested to VDE requirements.
Which tip for an ordinary wood screw? PH2 matches the cross heads of the most common 4–5 mm wood screws.
Recycling instructions:
The cardboard packaging is recycled as cardboard, and the plastic film and plastic hanging card go to plastic collection.
Take a screwdriver that is no longer used to metal collection. If the collection point requires materials to be separated, remove the plastic handle from the shaft and recycle it as plastic.
