Description
The Rema Tip Top repair kit L (TT11) is designed especially for repairing larger pneumatic inner tubes used in vehicles and small machines. Unlike bicycle repair kits, this L kit contains larger patches with a stronger structure that withstand higher air pressures and greater stretching. The product uses Rema Tip Top’s well-known cold vulcanisation technology, in which the SVS-Vulc solution and the bonding layer of the patch react chemically to form a continuous, flexible bond with the inner tube material.
The kit is essential equipment for garages, farms and hobbyists who service mopeds, quad bikes, garden tractors or older cars that use tyres with inner tubes. The pack contains everything needed for the process: a roughening tool for cleaning the surface, vulcanising solution and a selection of round and oval patches for sealing damage of different sizes. The patches are designed especially to withstand the heat and mechanical stress that arise in vehicle use.
Rema Tip Top patches have a multi-layer structure and thinned edges. This prevents the patch from lifting or chafing against the tyre while driving. The repair is permanent, and when fitted correctly the patch lasts as long as the inner tube itself. The product is suitable for both natural rubber and butyl inner tubes.
Intended use:
- Small machines and quad bikes: Repairing the inner tubes of quad bikes (ATVs), garden tractors and wheelbarrows.
- Mopeds and motorcycles: Suitable for patching the inner tubes of mopeds and motorcycles.
- Cars and trailers: For servicing the tyres of cars (models with inner tubes/vintage) and trailers.

Rema Tip Top repair kit L instructions for use:
Find the leak and mark it. Clean dirt and grease off the area and dry it carefully. Roughen the leak with the supplied sanding pad over an area slightly larger than the chosen patch. The roughening must be thorough so that the vulcanising solution can react with the rubber. Apply a thin, even layer of vulcanising solution to the roughened area.
Let the solution dry for at least 5 minutes (this is important for starting the vulcanisation). The solution should be touch-dry and matt. Remove the protective film from the underside of the patch (foil side) without touching the adhesive surface with your fingers. Place the patch in the centre of the hole and press firmly from the centre towards the edges so that the air is pressed out. If necessary, use a roller or a round-ended tool to seal the patch. The tyre is ready to be fitted straight away.
Warnings:
- Fire hazard: Highly flammable liquid and vapour. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking.
- Health hazard: Causes skin irritation and serious eye irritation. May cause drowsiness or dizziness. Avoid breathing vapour.
- Environmental hazard: Toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects. Avoid release to the environment.
- Storage: Keep out of the reach of children. Store in a cool, well-ventilated place.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Can this kit be used to patch tubeless tyres?
No. This kit is intended only for patching inner tubes. Tubeless tyres have their own repair kits (e.g. repair strings/plugs).
Is the kit suitable for sidewall damage on a car tyre?
No. If the inner tube is badly torn or the damage is large, the inner tube must be replaced with a new one for safety reasons.
What is the difference between this L kit and the bicycle S kit?
The L kit patches (size 0 and 3) have a larger surface area and a slightly stronger structure, which makes them more suitable for the thicker inner tubes of vehicles.
Recycling instructions:
The vulcanising solution tube is hazardous waste unless it is completely empty and dry. An empty metal tube is recycled in metal collection. The plastic box is recyclable plastic. The cardboard wrapper is sorted into cardboard collection.
