Description
Vorel flexible tub 42 l is a flexible plastic tub with two carrying handles for mixing, carrying and spreading mortar, concrete and other compounds. The tub is black, pliable plastic that shapes itself to the load, so it can be carried with one hand at the side of the body.
The flexible wall is the working principle of the tub: when the tub is lifted by the handles, it squeezes together and a pouring lip forms between the handles, which lets you pour the compound in a controlled way where you want it. At the same time, the opening left between the handles stays large enough to take mortar with a brick trowel without putting the tub down.
The handles are wide plastic, so they do not cut into your hand the way a thin metal bail does. As the tub flexes against your leg, it does not rub your legs as much as a rigid round bucket when carried on stairs and scaffolding. The 42-litre capacity is enough for moving masonry mortar, levelling compound, sand and demolition waste.
The tub is intended for construction use, not as a food container. The smooth inner surface makes the tub easy to wash, and hardened mortar comes off when you flex the walls. The tapered walls keep stacked tubs easy to separate.

- Demolition and cleaning: moving demolition waste, sand and gravel and washing tools.
- Yard and garden: moving soil, compost and water.
- Not suitable: for food, drinking water or as an animal feeding container.

Vorel flexible tub 42 l instructions for use:
Mixing: Place the tub on a level surface. Add the water first and the dry material on top. Mix with a drill paddle at low speed and keep the paddle off the bottom and walls of the tub so that the plastic does not wear through.
Carrying and pouring: Grip both handles and lift: the tub squeezes together and a pouring lip forms between the handles. Carry the load at the side of your body and pour the compound onto the target through the pouring lip. Do not fill the tub to the brim with heavy compound.
Cleaning and storage: Wash the tub with water immediately after use. Dried mortar comes off when you flex the walls of the tub. Store the tub out of direct sunlight and empty in freezing weather, so that the plastic does not become brittle.
Warnings:
- Not for food or drinking water use: the tub is a construction container.
- Do not lift a full tub by one handle, as the handle and rim are loaded unevenly.
- Avoid dragging the tub full over a rough surface; the bottom wears through.
- Mortar and cement are alkaline: wear protective gloves and safety glasses when mixing.
- Do not leave a tub filled with water outside within the reach of children, because of the risk of drowning.
- The tub is not a lifting container: it must not be lifted by machine or rope.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
How much mortar does Vorel flexible tub 42 l hold? The capacity is 42 litres. With heavy compounds, it is worth filling it less so that the load stays light enough to carry with one hand.
Is the tub suitable for food? No. The tub is a container for building compounds and is not intended for storing food or drinking water.
How do I get dried mortar off? Flex the walls of the tub, so that the hardened layer of mortar cracks and comes off. Finish by washing.
Can I mix with a machine in the tub? Yes, with a drill paddle at low speed. Keep the paddle off the bottom and walls.
Does the tub withstand frost? The flexible plastic withstands outdoor storage, but if frozen while full, the wall of the tub can split in freezing weather. Store the tub empty.
Recycling instructions:
Sort a discarded flexible tub into plastic collection if it is empty and clean. Remove mortar and concrete residue and sort it as construction waste. Take a heavily soiled tub to mixed waste or construction waste collection according to local instructions.
