Yato cordless grinder set 18V (YT-828296) contains two grinders from the Yato 18V battery system: a brushless 125 mm angle grinder YT-828293 and a die grinder YT-82824. The set includes one 4 Ah (72 Wh) Li-Ion battery that fits both machines, and a charger.
The angle grinder speed is 3000–8500 min⁻¹, the disc diameter is 125 mm, the bore 22.2 mm and the spindle thread M14. The speed is selected electronically in stages, and the soft start evens out acceleration. Yato cordless grinder set 18V user manual:
Battery: charge the battery in the charger before first use (red LED = charging, green = full). Push the battery into the battery slot of the machine until the latch locks. Always remove the battery before changing accessories, making adjustments and maintenance.
Angle grinder: fit the disc guard and auxiliary handle. Place the upper flange, the disc and the lower flange on the spindle, press the spindle lock and tighten with the wrench. Test run for a minute without load. Grind at an angle of no more than 30° and cut with the disc perpendicular, guiding the grinder in the direction of disc rotation.
Die grinder: loosen the clamping nut with two open-ended spanners, insert the shank into the collet so that there is no more than 8 mm between the working part and the collet and at least half of the shank is inside the collet, and tighten the nut. Start by pressing the rear of the switch and sliding the switch forward; test run for about 30 seconds.
Speed: select the stage with the button with the battery fitted. On the angle grinder, low stages for brushes and sandpaper and high stages for grinding discs; on the die grinder, the speed is selected according to the accessory before starting work.
Working and maintenance: secure the workpiece, hold the machine with both hands and bring the accessory to the workpiece only at full speed. The outer surface temperature must not exceed 60 °C. Clean the housings and ventilation openings with compressed air (max. 0.3 MPa), a brush or a dry cloth.
