Description
Yato cordless vacuum 18V with filter, body only (YT-85680) is a cordless hand vacuum for collecting dry dirt at home, in the workshop and in the car. The unit runs on Yato 18 V Li-Ion system batteries and is supplied as a body only, without a battery or charger, so it suits users who already have a battery from the same range.
The vacuum produced is 3.8 kPa, and the 0.5-litre bagless dust container is transparent, so you can see from outside how full it is. The container has a replaceable air filter, which is detached from the base by twisting, cleaned with compressed air and put back. The container locks to the body with a single locking button.
The unit weighs 1.0 kg without the battery. The locking slide switch (ON/OFF) stays in position, so you do not need to hold the switch down while working. It is a protection class III safety extra-low voltage device, intended for dry use and indoors only.
The vacuum comes with two extension tubes and three nozzles: a wide floor nozzle, a crevice nozzle and a round brush nozzle. With the extension tubes the vacuum becomes a light stick vacuum for floors and stairs; without the tubes it works as a handheld vacuum in the car and on furniture. Compatible batteries include the Yato 18V Li-Ion battery range batteries, and for charging you can use the Yato battery charger 18V 2.2A. A more powerful alternative in the same range is the Yato cordless vacuum 18V, body only (YT-85683, 9 kPa, HEPA filter).
Uses and suitability:
The Yato cordless vacuum 18V with filter, body only is intended for small dry cleaning jobs in the household, workshop and vehicles.
- Cars and work machines: cab floors, seats and shelves are cleaned without mains power; the crevice nozzle reaches between the seats and the brush nozzle suits the dashboard.
- Home: crumbs, sand and dust in the hallway, kitchen and on stairs; with the extension tubes and floor nozzle, small floor areas without bending down.
- Workshop and workstation: light sawdust and dust from workbenches and shelves. For fine dust and heavier dirt, the 9 kPa HEPA model in the same range is a better fit.
- Service and installation work: goes along with the same 18 V battery as the other tools in the Yato range.
The unit is not suitable for vacuuming liquids, wet dirt, hot ash or flammable substances, or for continuous industrial dust extraction.

Instructions for using the Yato cordless vacuum 18V with filter, body only:
Assembly: Remove the dust container by pressing the locking button and pulling the container off the body. Take out the filter and detach it from the base by twisting. Clean the container and filter, fit the filter to the base and place it in the container so that the shapes match. Attach the container to the body; the edge of a correctly fitted container is flush with the body all the way round.
Nozzles: Push the nozzle you want into the front opening of the container, directly or via an extension tube. The tubes and nozzles fit together only the right way round.
Battery: Push a charged Yato 18 V battery into the guides of the battery slot until the latch locks. Check that the battery does not come loose by itself. Remove the battery after every use.
Use: Push the switch forward with your thumb until the ON mark is visible; the vacuum starts and the switch stays in position. Stop it by pushing the switch back to the OFF position. If the suction drops, the unit vibrates or the motor sounds louder, switch off the unit, remove the battery, empty the container and check the tubes and nozzles for blockages.
Maintenance: Remove the battery before maintenance. Check the container and filter after every use. Clean the outer surface, filter and ventilation openings with compressed air at max. 0.3 MPa; do not use sharp metal objects and do not immerse the vacuum in water. Wipe the body with a soft cloth.
Warnings:
- Dry use only: vacuuming water, wet ash or other wet waste is prohibited (risk of electric shock).
- Do not vacuum hot, glowing or burning objects; the temperature of the dirt vacuumed must not exceed 40 °C.
- Indoor use only; not in explosive atmospheres, and not near heat sources or open flames.
- Keep the ventilation openings clear: covered openings can make the unit overheat.
- Switch off the unit and remove the battery before changing accessories, cleaning and maintenance, and after every use.
- Children aged 8 and over and people with reduced capabilities may use the unit only under supervision; children must not play with the unit.
- Use only Yato 18 V batteries and chargers; do not modify the battery slot or the battery. Check the condition of the unit, battery and accessories before every use.
