Description
Yato cordless ratchet 110 Nm long is an 18 V cordless ratchet with a 1/2″ square drive, a maximum torque of 110 Nm and a brushless motor. The tool is 480 mmlong, and it is supplied as a body only without a battery or charger, for Li-Ion slide batteries of the Yato 18V system.
The ratchet is designed for loosening and tightening nuts, screws and bolts in workshop and maintenance work. The narrow ratchet head and extended body reach tight and hard-to-reach places where an impact wrench does not fit. The control panel is used to select from three speed ranges 0–150, 0–190 or a 0–250 min⁻¹ according to the work.
The brushless motor works without wearing carbon brushes and maintains its performance under load. The speed is adjusted steplessly within the selected range by pressing the trigger, the reversing switch changes between tightening and loosening, and the start switch has a lock. The overload clutch engages when the torque limit is reached.
The tool weighs 1.47 kg, its insulation class is III and its operating temperature -10…+40 °C. A shorter version of the same ratchet is YT-828033 (370 mm).
Uses and suitability:
The cordless ratchet turns fasteners quickly open or closed in places where there is no room for the swing of a hand ratchet. Standard 1/2″ sockets are suitable, for example the Yato socket set 12 pcs, 1/2″ 10–24 mm; for smaller sockets, use reducers such as the Yato socket adapter set 3-piece, 1/4″, 3/8″ and 1/2″ 75 mm. For loosening very tight joints and final tightening, use a hand tool such as the Yato ratchet 1/2″ 255 mm offset.
- Engine bay and chassis: Loosening and tightening brackets, guard plates, clamp and bracket screws in tight spots.
- Machine maintenance: Quick removal and fitting of bolts on covers, flanges and service hatches before final tightening with a torque wrench.
- Installation work: Turning fixing bolts on furniture, racks and machines when the same joint is repeated many times.
- Long reach: The 480 mm length reaches deep-set fasteners without extensions.
- Yato 18V system: The ratchet uses batteries YT-828461–YT-828465, charged with chargers YT-828498–YT-828502.

Yato cordless ratchet 110 Nm long user manual:
Carry out all preparation and assembly with the battery removed. Read the entire user manual before first use.
- Battery: Push a charged Yato 18V battery into the battery slot until the latches lock. Remove the battery by pressing the latch and sliding the battery out.
- Fitting the socket: Fit a 1/2″ socket of the right size for the fastener to the drive. Screw the bolt or nut onto the thread by hand at least two turns.
- Direction and lock: Select the direction of rotation with the reversing switch. Release the start switch lock by moving the lock towards the open padlock symbol.
- Speed range: Start the ratchet, and the indicator light of the selected mode lights up; change the speed range with the control panel button if necessary.
- Working: Hold the ratchet with both hands, place the socket on the nut before pressing the trigger and start at low speed. Avoid excessive axial pressure.
- Tightening and loosening: Release the trigger as soon as the joint has tightened or the overload clutch engages. Check the final tightening with a torque wrench; the loosening torque is on average 75–80% of the tightening torque.
- Finishing: Remove the battery, check the condition of the sockets and drive and clean the body, ventilation openings and switches with compressed air (max. 0.3 MPa), a brush or a dry cloth without chemicals.
Warnings:
- Protective equipment: Wear safety glasses, protective gloves and hearing protection.
- Noise: The sound power level is 107 dB(A); hearing protection is essential.
- Hidden wiring: Hold the ratchet by its insulated gripping surfaces if the accessory may hit a live wire.
- Overtightening: The longer the joint is tightened, the tighter it becomes; avoid overtightening small fasteners and check the torque with a torque wrench.
- Batteries: Use only Yato 18V batteries and their chargers. Do not short-circuit the battery terminals, do not use a damaged or modified battery and do not expose the battery to temperatures above 130 °C.
- Operating temperature: Use the ratchet at -10…+40 °C and protect it from rain and moisture.
- Heating: Take breaks and do not overload the tool; the outer surface temperature must not exceed 60 °C.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Are a battery and charger included with the Yato cordless ratchet 110 Nm long?
No. The ratchet is supplied as a body only; it takes Yato 18V batteries YT-828461–YT-828465 and chargers YT-828498–YT-828502.
What is the difference between the short and long models?
The technical values are the same (110 Nm, 0–250 min⁻¹). YT-828033 is 370 mm long and weighs 1.35 kg, YT-828035 is 480 mm long and weighs 1.47 kg.
Does the ratchet have an impact mechanism?
No. The ratchet turns the drive evenly; the impact version with a 1/4″ hex bit holder is the Yato YT-828030 / YT-828031.
Can the ratchet tighten to the final torque?
The ratchet tightens the joint, but the final tightening torque is checked with a torque wrench.
Which sockets fit the ratchet?
Standard 1/2″ sockets; for smaller sockets, use a 1/2″–3/8″ or 1/2″–1/4″ reducer.
Recycling instructions:
