Description
Yato cordless work light 18V 6000 lm (YT-829600) is a portable 65 W COB LED floodlight that works both on Li-Ion batteries of the Yato 18 V battery platform and on mains power. On battery power, the light produces at full power 6000 lm and at low power 1800 lm; on mains power the corresponding values are 3200 lm and 1000 lm. The product is a body-only version: battery and charger are not included.
The body materials are ABS, aluminium and glass-fibre-reinforced PA-GF, and the protective dome is transparent polycarbonate. The mechanical impact resistance is class IK07. On battery power the IP rating is IPX4 (splash-proof); when used on mains power, the light is not water-protected.
The light has a power bank function for charging USB devices from the 18 V battery, and a battery charge level display. The stand has a magnet for attaching to steel surfaces and a threaded hole for a tripod ; the tilt angle of the lamp unit is adjustable. There is a carrying handle on the top edge of the body.
The colour temperature of the light is 6500 K and the colour rendering index CRI 80; the service life of the LED light source is 10,000 h. The dimensions are 250 x 140 x 300 mm and the weight without the battery 2.46 kg. The Yato cordless work light 18V 6000 lm uses the same batteries as the other tools in the Yato 18 V range, for example the Yato cordless impact drill 18V 75Nm, brushless motor, body only; with separately purchased adapters YT-829601–YT-829604, the light can also be used with Bosch Professional (GBA 18V), DeWalt, Milwaukee and Makita batteries.
Uses and suitability:
The Yato cordless work light 18V 6000 lm is intended for lighting the work on construction sites, in workshops and when camping, on both battery and mains power.
- Construction sites and outdoor work: 6000 lm luminous flux on battery power and IPX4 splash protection allow use in damp conditions and in areas not sheltered from rain. The magnetic stand attaches to steel structures and vehicle bodies.
- Workshops: on mains power, the light works without a battery as a fixed workstation light with a luminous flux of 3200 lm; tilt adjustment and the tripod mount aim the light at the work. For smaller spaces, use the Yato cordless work light 18V / 230V 1600LM 20W, body only.
- Camping and cottage use: the power bank function charges a phone or other USB device from the 18 V battery; for a larger power supply, use the Yato portable power station 504Wh 600W.
- Rescue and service tasks: the carrying handle, 2.46 kg weight and impact-resistant IK07 body suit mobile use in field conditions.

Instructions for using the Yato cordless work light 18V 6000 lm:
Battery operation: Open the battery compartment cover at the back of the light, push a charged Yato 18 V battery into the slot until the latch locks, and close the cover. IPX4 protection requires the cover to be closed.
Mains operation: Connect the DC plug of the power supply to the socket at the back of the light. On mains power the luminous flux is 3200 / 1000 lm, and the light is not water-protected.
Use: Switch on the light with the power switch and select the power mode (high / low). The USB output is switched on with its own button when the light is used as a power bank. Do not look into the light source while the light is on.
Tilt adjustment and mounting: Adjust the angle of the lamp unit with the power off. Attach the light to a tripod by the thread in the stand or place the magnetic stand on a clean steel surface; make sure the light cannot fall.
Maintenance: Remove the battery and power supply before cleaning. Wipe the body and protective dome with a soft, damp cloth without solvents. Keep the ventilation openings clean. The light must not be dismantled.
Warnings:
- On mains power the light is not water-protected: use the power supply only in dry spaces.
- Do not look directly into the light source: strong light can damage eyesight.
- The body and protective dome get hot during use: risk of burns; do not cover the light.
- Do not use in flammable or explosive atmospheres.
- Use only Yato 18 V Li-Ion batteries, Yato chargers and the manufacturer’s adapters; modifying the battery slot is prohibited.
- Magnetic stand: keep away from pacemakers, magnetic cards and electronics.
- Do not use a light with a damaged protective dome, body or cable.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Is a battery or charger included with the Yato cordless work light 18V 6000 lm?
No. The product is a body-only version; the Yato 18 V battery and charger are purchased separately.
Why is the luminous flux lower on mains power than on battery?
On mains power the light limits the output to 3200 lm (high) and 1000 lm (low); the full 6000 lm is available on battery.
Can the light be used with batteries from other brands?
Yes, with the separately sold adapters YT-829601–YT-829604 (Bosch Professional GBA 18V, DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita).
Does the light withstand rain?
On battery power the IP rating is IPX4, i.e. splash-proof. When used on mains power there is no water protection.
What is the difference from models YT-82966 and YT-82965?
YT-82966 (5000 lm) and YT-82965 (3600 lm) are battery-only IP20 lights without the power bank function and magnet.
Recycling instructions:
Sort the cardboard packaging into cardboard collection and the plastic covers into plastic collection. A discarded Yato cordless work light 18V 6000 lm is waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE): it must not be disposed of with mixed waste but taken to a WEEE collection point or the retailer. Remove the Li-Ion battery before recycling, tape its terminals and take the battery to battery collection; a damaged battery must not be transported unprotected.
