Description
The Yato pneumatic random orbital sander 150 mm has a standard-size 150 mm sanding pad. This pneumatic tool is powered by compressed air and is designed for sanding and polishing various surface materials.
The technical performance of the machine is based on a maximum working pressure of 0.63 MPa and a speed of 10,500 min⁻¹. The orbital movement, with a stroke of 5 mm, gives a balance between effective material removal and an even surface finish. The outer casing of the tool is made of aluminium, which protects the internal pneumatic motor from mechanical stress. The device weighs 2.1 kg.
The device has an integrated dust extraction system. The pack includes a separate extraction hose and collection bag, which let you collect the sanding dust straight from the device without connecting a separate industrial vacuum cleaner. Sanding discs are attached directly to the 150 mm pad, and the pad is fitted to the machine without separate tools.
Intended use:
- Surface sanding and finishing: Suitable for sanding and polishing wood, metal, plastic and paint surfaces with 150 mm sanding discs.
- Dust-free working: Thanks to the supplied hose and dust bag, the work area stays cleaner, which is essential indoors and in surface treatments that require precision.
- Pneumatic systems: Connected with a standard coupling to a compressed air network or compressor that can deliver a continuous air flow of 84 l/min.
Package contents:
- 1 x pneumatic random orbital sander
- 1 x air hose coupling (standard)
- 1 x sanding pad (150 mm, M8 thread)
- 1 x dust extraction hose
- 1 x dust bag
Features:
- Integrated dust extraction: The extraction hose and dust bag collect sanding dust effectively and reduce the amount of airborne dust at the workstation.
- 5 mm orbital movement: The oscillation optimises sanding performance and prevents swirl marks forming on the surface being treated.
- Aluminium body: The metal construction makes the tool mechanically durable and protects the pneumatic motor.
- Tool-free pad change: The 150 mm sanding pad can be fitted and changed by hand without separate fitting tools.
- M8 mounting thread: Allows the use of standard-size 150 mm sanding pads with a standard thread.

Yato random orbital sander instructions for use:
Before use, make sure the compressed air system delivers a continuous pressure of 0.63 MPa and an air supply of at least 84 l/min. Use a compressed air hose with an inner diameter of 3/8″ (9.5 mm). As this is a pneumatic tool, it needs regular lubrication; add a few drops of air tool oil directly into the air connection before each use or use an in-line lubricator installed in the system. Attach a suitable sanding disc to the 150 mm pad. Connect the dust extraction hose to the outlet of the machine and attach the dust bag to the other end of the hose. Empty the dust bag regularly while sanding to keep up the dust extraction performance. Clean dust off the machine and pad after use.
Warnings:
Note the following warnings when using the product:
- Noise level: The sound power of the device is 101.0 dB(A). Wearing ear defenders is absolutely mandatory to avoid hearing damage.
- Dust exposure: Although the device has a dust bag, always wear a respirator (e.g. FFP2/FFP3) when sanding materials that release harmful dust.
- Vibration: The vibration level of the device is 4.4 m/s². Take regular breaks in long periods of work to minimise strain caused by vibration.
- Compressed air hazards: Never exceed the maximum working pressure of 0.63 MPa. Always disconnect the machine from the compressed air network before changing the sanding pad or doing maintenance.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Q: What compressor output is required for this sander?
A: The continuous output of the compressor must be at least 84 l/min at a pressure of 0.63 MPa (6.3 bar) for the machine to run without interruption.
Q: Does the tool need oiling?
A: Yes, the pneumatic motor needs continuous lubrication. Use air tool oil regularly through the air connection of the machine.
Q: Can an industrial vacuum cleaner be connected to the machine instead of the dust bag?
A: The supplied hose is intended for the bag, but an industrial vacuum cleaner hose can often be connected to the outlet of the device using a suitable adapter for more effective suction.
