Description
Narex electrician’s knife 4 in 1 is a fixed-blade multi-purpose knife designed for handling cables and conductors in electrical installation work. The knife’s design combines four work steps that recur in electrical installations in one tool, which removes the need to switch tools between work steps.
The blade is shaped for multiple uses. The lower part of the blade is a conventional cutting edge for cutting insulation and plastics. The tip of the blade has a guide that opens the outer sheath of electrical cables lengthwise without damaging the inner conductors. The blade also has a separate cutting notch sized for stripping the insulation of individual conductors on site.
The blade has an integrated hole for bending metal wire and making loops during installation work. The blade is made of type 420 stainless steel hardened to 53-55 HRC. The knife handle and the separate sheath supplied with it are made of plastic.
Intended use:
The product is designed for a wide range of cable and electrical installation work involving different conductors and cables.
- Opening cable sheaths: The specially shaped tip of the blade is intended for splitting and removing the outer sheath of electrical cables lengthwise on installation sites where the sheath must be opened in a controlled way without damaging the internal structure.
- Stripping conductors: The integrated stripping notch lets you remove the insulation of individual electrical conductors without a separate stripping tool: place the conductor in the notch and slit the insulation open for connections.
- Bending wire: The hole in the blade lets you bend the ends of metal conductors into loops for screw connections and terminations in installations where the conductor must be turned mechanically.
- General cutting: The straight lower part of the blade is suitable for cutting and working plastics, insulation materials and other soft materials met in installation work on site.

Narex electrician’s knife 4 in 1 instructions for use:
Start by removing the protective sheath. To strip the outer sheath of a cable, place the guide at the blade tip under the cable sheath and pull the knife along the cable, so that the sheath splits without damaging the inner conductors. To strip individual conductors, place the conductor in the stripping notch of the blade, slit the insulation and pull it off the conductor. To bend wire, pass the end of the wire through the round hole in the blade and turn the knife as a lever to bend the wire to the angle you need. General cutting is done with the straight lower part of the blade. After use, clean the knife and put it back in the plastic protective sheath to protect the blade. Sharpen the straight cutting part of the blade regularly to keep it cutting efficiently.
Warnings:
- The sharp blade can cause cuts.
