Description
Procat telescopic extension pole 60–120 cm is a two-part adjustable extension pole for paint rollers, brushes and other hand tools with a handle. The pole length is infinitely adjustable within 60–120 cm. The tool is attached to the tip of the pole with a push-fit connection, so you can reach surfaces beyond arm’s reach without a ladder.
The pole consists of two telescoping aluminium tubes. The outer tube has lengthwise grooves, and the inner tube is smooth. Aluminium is a light material that does not rust in damp conditions or with water-based paints.
The length is locked at the joint between the tubes with a twist lock. The locking collar is unscrewed, the inner tube is pulled out to the required length and the collar is screwed tight again. The adjustment is made by hand without tools.
At the end of the inner tube there is a grooved plastic push-fit tip with no thread. The tip is pushed into the connection hole at the end of the tool handle. At the lower end of the pole there is a grooved PP plastic end cap, which protects the end of the tube and lets you hang the product up.
Uses and suitability:
The extension pole extends the reach of a hand tool and reduces work on ladders. The short 60–120 cm adjustment range is especially suited to indoor use and tight spaces where a long pole is awkward to handle.
- Painting walls and ceilings: The pole is attached to the paint roller handle, so the upper parts of walls and low indoor ceilings can be rolled from the floor. For example, the Painter push-in roller frame Ø8 mm is designed to be connected to an extension pole.
- Painting and varnishing floors: Used with a floor roller, the pole lets you work standing upright. This reduces the strain on your back and knees during long jobs.
- Washing and cleaning: With a push-fit washing brush, the pole is suitable for washing windows, doors and vehicles. The aluminium body withstands moisture, so water does not damage the pole.
- Dusting high up: With the pole, a dusting brush reaches cornices, light fittings and the tops of cupboards.
- Longer reach: For higher places, such as stairwells and high ceilings, use the Procat telescopic extension pole 135–240 cm with push-fit connection.

Instructions for using the Procat telescopic extension pole 60–120 cm:
- Release the lock: Unscrew the locking collar at the joint between the tubes until the inner tube slides freely.
- Adjust the length: Pull the inner tube out to the required length. Do not pull it all the way out of the outer tube.
- Lock: Screw the locking collar tight. Push the pole together lightly and make sure the length does not change.
- Attach the tool: Push the push-fit tip firmly into the connection on the tool handle. Check the connection by pulling the tool gently.
- Work: Keep one hand at the end cap and the other in the middle of the pole. Roll with even strokes and avoid heavy twisting at the joints.
- Clean and store: Remove the tool after use. Wash off paint splashes with a cleaning agent as instructed by the paint manufacturer, and dry the tubes before reassembling. Store the pole hanging, at its shortest length.
Warnings:
- Electrical conductivity: Aluminium conducts electricity. Do not use the pole near live electric cables, light fitting connections or other electrical equipment.
- Lock check: A loose twist lock can let the pole shorten in the middle of a job. Always check the lock before use.
- Falling tools: A poorly attached tool can come loose and fall. Make sure the push-fit connection is secure before working overhead.
- Load: The pole is not intended for levering, lifting or supporting weight.
- Splashes: When painting ceilings, paint can splash onto your face. Wear safety glasses.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Which tools does the Procat telescopic extension pole 60–120 cm fit?
The pole fits tools that have a connection hole for a push-fit connection at the end of the handle. Examples include many paint roller handles, floor rollers and brushes with handles.
Does the extension pole have a threaded tip?
No. The tip is a threadless, grooved plastic tip that is pushed into the tool handle. Tools with a threaded connection need a threaded extension pole.
How is the length of the extension pole locked?
The length is locked by screwing the locking collar at the joint between the tubes tight. No separate tools are needed.
What is the shortest length of the extension pole for storage and transport?
At its shortest, the pole is 60 cm, so it fits in a cleaning cupboard and a car boot.
Does an aluminium extension pole rust with washing water or water-based paint?
Aluminium does not rust. It is still a good idea to rinse and dry the pole after use so that paint does not dry in the threads of the locking collar.
Recycling instructions:
The Procat telescopic extension pole 60–120 cm is supplied without separate retail packaging. Take a discarded pole apart if this is possible without tools.
Aluminium tubes go to metal collection. The PP plastic end cap and the plastic lock and tip parts are sorted according to local waste management instructions. Remove paint residues from the tubes before recycling.
