Description
The Painter push-in roller frame Ø8 mm is designed for mechanically fitting wide paint rollers. The core of the frame is made of 8 mm thick steel wire formed into a standard L-profile. This structural strength stops the roller frame bending under pressure when force is applied to the surface while spreading viscous liquids or paints.
The outer surface of the steel frame is treated against corrosion, which extends the life of the tool under repeated exposure to water-based and solvent-based chemicals. The robust Ø8 mm thickness ensures that the fitted roller turns evenly on its axle without eccentric movement or vibration. Even rotation is a critical factor in controlling film thickness during application.
The grip of the tool is made of polymer plastic and has a hollow cylindrical structure inside. This allows tapered or threaded extension poles to be fitted mechanically directly into the handle. The outer profile of the handle is designed to maximise friction between the user and the tool, which improves force transfer and reduces strain on the wrist in long work sessions.
In industrial use, this component is a standardised fixing solution compatible with all rollers with an 8 mm inside diameter. Interchangeability and standard dimensions make the product a scalable solution for contracting, where consumable parts of painting tools are replaced regularly as work progresses.
Intended use and suitability:
The push-in roller frame is the physical interface between the user, the paint roller and the surface being painted. It is suitable for tasks that need even surface pressure over large areas.
- Coating large wall and ceiling surfaces: The width of the frame makes it optimal for fast coating of large areas such as halls, industrial premises or facades, reducing the number of strokes needed.
- Applying floor coatings: Combined with an extension pole and an epoxy roller, the rigid 8 mm steel frame withstands the hard downward pressure needed for de-aerating and levelling floor coatings.
Package contents:
The delivery contains only the frame. Rollers and extension poles are bought separately according to the requirements of the job.
- 1 pc Painter push-in paint roller frame, frame thickness 8 mm, in the selected width
Features:
The features of the product are based on its standardised design and choice of materials, which optimise its function.
- Frame thickness 8 mm: Prevents the material bending under a point load of over 5 kg, guaranteeing an even finish.
- Compatibility: The standardised width allows all the most common large rollers to be used without separate adapters.
- Corrosion resistance: The galvanised steel withstands repeated washing with water and exposure to industrial solvents without oxidising.
- Extension pole compatible handle: The hollow handle allows standard-size telescopic poles to be fitted with a friction or threaded fitting.

Push-in roller frame instructions for use:
Following the steps of mechanical fitting and removal ensures a long tool life and correct operation.
1. Fitting the roller: Choose a roller whose inner tube diameter matches the 8 mm thickness of the frame. Push the roller onto the metal wire so that the roller’s internal locking mechanism (e.g. a spring bearing) clicks into place or friction locks the roller tightly.
2. Fitting an extension pole (optional): Push the extension pole into the cavity inside the plastic handle. If the extension pole has a thread, turn it clockwise until the connection is mechanically tight.
3. Use: Apply pulling and pushing movements at right angles to the surface to avoid bending the metal frame or the roller coming off the axle.
4. Removal and cleaning: Remove the roller by pulling it firmly off the axle immediately after use. Clean the metal frame mechanically and wipe it dry with solvent or water (depending on the paint used) to prevent oxidation.
Warnings:
Points to note to avoid mechanical damage and accidents at work.
- Mechanical overload: Applying torque only to the outer end of the roller can permanently deform the 8 mm wire.
- Chemical exposure: Soaking the plastic handle in very strong solvents (e.g. acetone) for long periods can weaken the structure of the polymer.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ):
Does this frame fit all 8 mm paint rollers?
Yes, provided the paint roller has a standard inner tube intended for 8 mm thick wire. Some special rollers use a thinner 6 mm frame or thicker quick-lock systems, so check the diameter of the roller’s hole.
Can I fit a narrower roller, for example 150 mm, to this frame?
Technically yes, but the straight metal part of the 250 mm frame will stick out of the other end of a narrow roller. This protruding metal part can scratch the surface being painted, so using the right width comes first.
What kind of extension pole fitting does the handle have?
The hollow back of the plastic handle is standard-sized to accept the most common industrial tapered extension poles with a push/friction fitting. Many models also have an internal thread for standard threaded poles.
Recycling instructions:
At the end of its life, the tool should be disposed of by material.
- Metal frame: Sorted into metal collection.
- Plastic handle: Sorted as energy waste or mixed waste.
- Special note: If the product has undried paint or chemicals classified as hazardous on it, it should be taken to a hazardous waste collection point.
