Description
Yato cordless impact wrench 300 Nm body is an 18 V impact wrench with a 1/2″ square drive and a maximum torque of 300 Nm. The body-only model is supplied with four impact sockets 17, 19, 21 and 23 mm without a battery or charger, and it uses Li-Ion slide batteries of the Yato 18V system.
The impact wrench is designed for tightening and loosening nuts and bolts, for example loosening wheel bolts and nuts up to size M28 . The no-load speed is 0–2200 min⁻¹ and the impact rate 0–2700 min⁻¹. The tangential impact loosens seized threaded joints even when they have been tightened with more than 300 Nm.
The gear housing is metal, and the gear hardness is 53–56 HRC. The body is made of glass-fibre-reinforced polyamide with a rubber coating, the handle is ergonomically shaped and the tool has a metal belt hook. The speed is adjusted steplessly by pressing the start switch (potentiometer), and the tool has a reversing switch, a spindle brake and an overload clutch.
Without the battery, the tool weighs 1.9 kg, and its insulation class is III and IP rating IP20. The set version of the same impact wrench with a 2 Ah battery, fast charger and carrying bag is YT-82804.
Uses and suitability:
The impact wrench is suitable for workshop and construction work where screw joints are tightened and loosened without mains power. For extra sockets, choose 1/2″ sockets designed for impact use, such as the Yato deep socket set 1/2″ 11-piece 10-24 mm CrMo SCM-440 or a Yato impact socket 1/2″. For applications requiring more torque, the range includes the Yato cordless impact wrench 18V 850Nm, body only.
- Wheel changing: Loosening wheel bolts and nuts up to size M28 with the supplied 17–23 mm sockets; final tightening is done with a torque wrench to the vehicle manufacturer’s value.
- Workshop work: Loosening seized threaded joints; the tangential impact loosens the joint even when the tightening torque has been over 300 Nm.
- Construction sites: Tightening and dismantling screw joints on railings, fences, safety barriers and formwork.
- Timber structures: Driving long carpenter’s screws with a suitable impact-rated adapter and bit.
- Yato 18V system: The tool uses batteries YT-828461 (2 Ah), YT-828462 (3 Ah) and YT-828463 (4 Ah).
Package contents:
- Cordless impact wrench (body only)
- Impact sockets 17, 19, 21 and 23 mm (4 pcs)
Battery and charger are not included.
Features:
- Torque 300 Nm: Enough for loosening wheel bolts up to size M28.
- Tangential impact mechanism: 0–2700 impacts/min; the impact engages when the resistance of the joint increases.
- Variable speed control: The speed increases with how far the start switch is pressed.
- Overload clutch: When tightening, the drive disengages after the maximum torque is reached.
- Spindle brake and reversing: The drive stops after the switch is released; the arrow on the reversing switch shows the direction in which the nut moves.
- Metal gear housing: Gear hardness 53–56 HRC.
- Glass-fibre-reinforced body: Rubber-coated polyamide body, shaped handle and metal belt hook.
- Yato 18V battery system: Compatible batteries YT-828461–YT-828465 and chargers YT-828498–YT-828502.

Yato cordless impact wrench 300 Nm body user manual:
Carry out all preparation and assembly with the battery removed. Read the entire user manual before first use.
- Battery: Use a charged Yato 18V battery; charge it with its own Yato charger and remove the battery from the charger as soon as charging is complete.
- Fitting the socket: Fit an impact socket of the right size for the fastener to the drive. Check before use that the socket is not damaged. Screw the nut or bolt onto the thread by hand at least two turns.
- Direction: Select the direction of rotation with the reversing switch; the arrow on the switch shows the direction in which the nut or bolt moves.
- Working: Insert the battery, hold the tool with both hands and place the socket on the nut. The further you press the switch, the higher the speed.
- Tightening: When the maximum torque is reached, the overload clutch engages. Release the switch and wait for the motor to stop.
- Loosening: If the tightening torque of the joint exceeds the maximum torque of the tool, the overload clutch engages and the nut may not come loose.
- Finishing and maintenance: Take breaks, remove the battery after work and clean the body, ventilation openings and switches with compressed air (max. 0.3 MPa), a brush or a dry cloth without chemicals.
- Battery storage: Store the battery at 0–30 °C at about 70% charge and charge it once a year during long-term storage.
Warnings:
- Protective equipment: Wear safety glasses and hearing protection; protective gloves and protective clothing are also recommended.
- Noise: The sound power level is 95 dB(A); hearing protection is essential.
- Impact sockets only: Use only undamaged sockets designed for impact use and suited to the drive size. The sockets or the drive must not be modified.
- Hidden wiring: Hold the tool by its insulated gripping surfaces if the accessory may hit a live wire.
- Vehicle wheels: Check the tightening torque of wheel bolts and nuts with a torque wrench according to the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions.
- Rain and moisture: The tool must not be exposed to rain.
- Vibration: The actual vibration may differ from the declared value depending on how the tool is used; take regular breaks.
- Battery and charger: Use only Yato 18V batteries and their chargers. Do not leave the battery in a connected charger after charging (fire hazard), do not short-circuit the battery terminals and do not use a damaged battery.
- Heating: Do not overload the tool; the outer surface temperature must not exceed 60 °C.
