Description
The Yato YT-85291 is a powerful, versatile 18V cordless water and oil pump designed for pumping both water and various oils. Its compact size and battery operation make it an ideal solution for mobile work in repair shops, on farms, in boating or at sites where mains power is not easily available. The device is supplied as a bare tool, so it needs a Yato 18V series battery and charger, bought separately or already owned, to work.
The performance of the pump is based on a powerful 380 W motor running at 45,000 rpm. This allows a high output of up to 1,800 litres per hour. The device has excellent suction; it can lift liquid from a depth of up to 9 metres and push it to a height of 22 metres. These features make it suitable, for example, for emptying or filling tanks efficiently.
Structurally, the pump is designed to withstand demanding use. It has durable G3/4″ brass connections on the inlet and outlet, which guarantee reliable hose connections. In addition to water, the device can also handle thicker fluids such as hydraulic oil and diesel. The protection class of the device is IPX4, giving protection against splashing water. The pump weighs 3.25 kg, which makes it easy to move around.
Intended use:
- Transferring fluids: Transferring water, diesel, heating oil or hydraulic oil from one tank to another, for example during maintenance work in repair shops or industrial environments.
- Emptying operations: Efficiently emptying tanks, pools, boat bilges (yachting) or other liquid containers.
- Mobile use and field work: Thanks to battery operation, excellent for sites without mains power, such as campsites, servicing agricultural machinery in the field or roadside repairs.

Yato YT-85291 instructions for use:
Installation: Connect the suction hose and pressure hose tightly to the G3/4″ brass connections of the pump. Make sure the suction hose is immersed in the liquid to be transferred and the joints are airtight to ensure suction. Use a foot valve at the end of the suction hose if necessary.
Use: Insert a charged Yato 18V battery in the pump. Start the pump with the power switch. The pump is self-priming, but suction improves if the suction hose is filled with liquid before starting, especially at maximum suction depths. Do not run the pump dry for long periods.
Maintenance and cleaning: If the pump has been used for pumping oil, especially thick hydraulic oil, it is advisable to flush it after use by pumping a cleaner fluid through it (e.g. diesel after oil use, water after water use) to prevent blockages. Always remove the battery before maintenance or storage. Store in a dry place.
Warnings:
This pump is not suitable for pumping highly flammable liquids such as petrol, solvents or acids, because of the risk of explosion and damage. The maximum temperature of the pumped liquid must not exceed 35 ˚C. Do not let the pump run dry for long periods, as this can damage the pump mechanism. Make sure the hoses used withstand the pressure produced by the pump and are chemically suitable for the liquid being pumped.
