Specialist tools

Cordless specialist tools are Yato 18V machines for special jobs where an ordinary drill or saw is not suitable. The group includes compressors, paint sprayers, mortar mixers, rivet guns, caulking guns, grease guns, plastic welders, nibblers, water and oil pumps, a heat gun, a concrete vibrator and a glue gun. The machines are used in construction, workshop, maintenance and installation work. All machines use the Yato 18V battery.

Selection criteria

• Construction: a mortar mixer mixes mortar, filler and adhesive, a concrete vibrator compacts poured concrete and a caulking gun dispenses sealant.
• Compressed air and painting: a cordless compressor (11 bar) inflates tyres and other items that need pressure, and a paint sprayer applies paint, varnish or protective coating evenly.
• Metal and plastic: a nibbler cuts sheet metal (up to 1.6 mm), a rivet gun sets blind rivets, and a plastic welder and a heat gun heat plastic and painted surfaces.
• Maintenance and liquids: a grease gun (620 bar) lubricates bearings and joints, and a water and oil pump (1,800 l/h) transfers liquids.
• Body only or set: a body-only model is supplied without a battery and charger, while a set includes them.

Frequently asked questions about cordless specialist tools

What is a nibbler used for?
For cutting sheet metal in straight lines and curves. A nibbler does not bend the sheet like tin snips do, and it does not heat the cut like an angle grinder.

What does a concrete vibrator do?
The vibrating poker is pushed into fresh concrete, and the vibration removes air bubbles from the concrete. The result is a dense and strong cast.

What is a cordless grease gun used for?
For lubricating the bearings and joints of machines and vehicles through grease nipples, without pumping by hand.
