Description
Edma Laminocut 2 is a manual guillotine cutter for laminate, vinyl and PVC floor coverings. The cutting width is 210 mm and the maximum cutting thickness 11 mm, which covers standard laminate boards up to use class 32 as well as LVT vinyl planks. The cutter weighs 3.2 kg and needs no electricity, blade changes or sharpening.
The cut is made by a lever-operated blade that presses slowly through the board instead of sawing it. That is why the cut produces no dust or noise and can be made in the room being fitted without protective equipment or a vacuum. The blade is made of long-lasting steel and is designed to withstand the hard surface layer of laminate without sharpening.
The cutter cuts the board crosswise, lengthwise or at an angle of 0–90°. For an angled cut, place the board against the stop at the required angle; this gives the bevelled ends at door and wall junctions without a mitre saw. The tool is flat and portable, so it travels from one job to the next and is ready to use without assembly.
Laminocut 2 is suitable for installing laminate, vinyl planks and PVC flooring in homes, offices and commercial premises. It pairs with the Edma laminate cutter Straticut 230 from the same range, which cuts wider and thicker boards, and with the Procat laminate installation kit, wedges, pull bar and tapping block for fitting the boards.
Intended use and suitability:
The guillotine cutter replaces a saw for cutting floor coverings when you want a dust-free and quiet cut on site.
- Laminate installation: boards are cut to length at the end of the row without sawdust; suitable up to use class 32 and 11 mm thickness.
- Vinyl and PVC floors: LVT planks and PVC strips cut cleanly without a torn edge.
- Angled and bevel cuts: 0–90° cuts at door frames, corners and slanted walls.
- Occupied premises and apartment buildings: the silent cut allows work in the evenings and in finished rooms without dust protection.

Edma Laminocut 2 instructions for use:
Preparation: Place the cutter on a stable, level base or on the floor. Measure and mark the cutting point on the face side of the board.
Cutting: Lift the lever, slide the board face up under the blade and line the mark up with the blade; for an angled cut, turn the board to the required angle against the stop. Hold the board in place with your other hand well away from the blade and press the lever down evenly until the board breaks. Do not jerk the lever: slow, even pressure gives a cleaner edge.
Maintenance: Wipe chips off the blade and the table after use. The blade needs no sharpening; do not cut metal, stone or materials thicker than stated.
Warnings:
- Sharp guillotine blade: keep your fingers and your other hand away from the blade line before pressing the lever.
- For laminate, vinyl and PVC up to 11 mm thick only; harder or thicker materials damage the blade and can break the lever.
- Always lower the lever when carrying or storing the cutter.
- Keep out of the reach of children.
