Description

Mikov stapler staples are paper staples bent from galvanised steel wire and sold in boxes as glued strips. The available sizes are 24/6, 24/8, 26/6 and No. 10, and a box contains 1,000 pcs or 2,000 pcs depending on the size.

The first number of the size designation indicates the wire type and the second the length of the staple leg in millimetres: 24/6 and 26/6 have a 6 mm leg, 24/8 an 8 mm leg. The leg length directly determines how thick a stack the staple penetrates and how much of it is left to bend under the stack. No. 10 is a narrower mini size with short legs for hand staplers.

The wire is galvanised. The zinc coating prevents the steel wire from rusting in indoor humidity, so the staple does not leave rust marks on paper in long-term archiving. The points are bevelled so that they pierce a stack of paper without breaking the fibres and bend against the groove of the stapler’s anvil.

The staples are glued into comb-like strips that are loaded into the stapler’s magazine in one piece. The glue bond keeps the staples in line during loading and releases one staple at a time with each stroke. The same office product family includes Mikov all-purpose scissors 22 cm comfort stainless steel and Mikov all-purpose scissors 14 cm Comfort stainless steel.

Intended use and suitability:

The staples fasten loose sheets into a single stack with a metal joint that is opened only with a staple remover. The size is chosen according to the thickness of the stack and the stapler’s magazine.

  • Office documents: reports, invoices, contract appendices and memos where the order of the sheets must be kept.
  • Archiving: galvanised wire does not rust in a dry indoor space, so the staple does not stain the paper over years of storage.
  • School and teaching use: worksheets, handouts and stacks of exercise books.
  • Crafts: cardboard, paper, thin fabric and light plastic films when the joint does not need to carry a load.
  • Thick stacks: 24/8 with an 8 mm leg reaches through the stack when a 6 mm leg is too short.

Mikov stapler staples instructions for use:

Choosing the size: Check the staple size marked on the stapler’s magazine or base. Use the marked size; the wrong wire type jams the magazine.

Loading: Open the stapler lid or pull out the magazine. Place the strip in the magazine with the points down and the back of the strip up. Push the strip all the way to the end of the magazine and close the stapler.

Stapling: Align the sheets into a neat stack and place the stack between the jaws. Press the top of the stapler straight down in one continuous movement until the legs have bent against the anvil. Check the bend on the underside of the stack.

Clearing a jam: Open the magazine, remove the bent staple with pliers and check that the strip has not broken in the middle of the magazine. Straighten the end of the strip or start with a new strip.

Storage: Keep the box closed in a dry indoor space. Strips that have got damp fall apart during loading because the glue bond comes loose.

Warnings:

  • The staple points are sharp: handle the strips with the points facing away from you.
  • Loose staples are a swallowing and choking hazard. Keep the box out of reach of children and pets.
  • Do not use bent or broken strips: they jam the magazine and can be ejected from the stapler.
  • Do not staple metal, wood or other hard material; the staple bends uncontrollably and can be ejected.
  • Do not exceed the maximum number of sheets stated by the stapler manufacturer.
  • Do not put your fingers between the stapler’s jaws while loading or clearing a jam.

Frequently asked questions, FAQ:

What does the size designation 24/6 mean? The number 24 is the wire type and the number 6 the leg length in millimetres.

What is the difference between sizes 24/6 and 24/8? The wire type is the same, but the 24/8 leg is 2 mm longer and penetrates a thicker stack.

Does 26/6 fit the same stapler as 24/6? The leg length is the same 6 mm, but the wire type is different. Use the size marked on your stapler.

How many sheets can be stapled with one staple? The stapler determines the capacity: typically about 20–30 sheets with a 6 mm leg and about 30–50 sheets with an 8 mm leg of 80 g/m² paper.

Do the staples rust in archiving? The wire is galvanised, so it does not rust in a dry indoor space. Damp storage can still cause marks on the paper.

What is the No. 10 size used for? Small hand staplers and light stacks; the leg and width are smaller than in the 24 and 26 series.

Why does the staple bend crooked? The most common reasons are the wrong staple size, too thick a stack, a bent strip or a stapler pressed at an angle.

Recycling instructions:

Sort the empty cardboard box into cardboard collection and any protective plastic into plastic collection. Sort staples removed from papers into small metal collection. A few staples in a stack of paper do not prevent the paper from being recycled, but large quantities are removed before taking the paper to collection.

Koot 24/6, 24/8 ja 26/6 ovat toimistonitojien vakiomerkintöjä, joten samaa merkintää käyttävät eri valmistajien niitit ovat mitoiltaan keskenään vaihdettavissa. Lankatyyppi 24 ja lankatyyppi 26 eroavat langan poikkipinnasta, vaikka sääriosan pituus on molemmissa 6 mm. Tyypin 26 lanka on ohuempi ja tarkoitettu kevyempiin makasiineihin, joten niitit eivät ole vapaasti keskenään vaihdettavissa vaan nitojaan merkitty koko ratkaisee. No. 10 on kapein ja lyhytsäärisin näistä ja rajoittuu pieniin käsinitojiin.

Käyttötarkoitus

Paperiarkkien, kartongin ja muiden ohuiden materiaalien kiinnittäminen nipuksi käsi-, pöytä- tai sähkönitojalla toimisto-, koulu- ja askartelukäytössä. Niitti ladataan vain sellaiseen nitojaan, jonka valmistaja on ilmoittanut kyseiselle niittikoolle. Tuotetta ei ole tarkoitettu kuormaa kantavaan kiinnitykseen, metallin tai puun nitomiseen eikä rakennuskäyttöön.

Lasten ja lemmikkien varoitukset

Ei lelu. Irtonaiset niitit ovat pieniä ja teräväkärkisiä: ne aiheuttavat nielaisu-, tukehtumis- ja pistovaaran pienille lapsille ja lemmikeille. Säilytä rasia suljettuna lasten ja lemmikkien ulottumattomissa ja kerää irronneet niitit työpöydältä.

Käyttöohje ja turvatiedot

Tarkista nitojaan merkitty niittikoko ennen latausta. Avaa makasiini, aseta liuska kärjet alaspäin makasiinin perälle asti ja sulje nitoja. Kohdista arkit tasaiseksi nipuksi ja paina nitojaa kohtisuoraan yhdellä liikkeellä. Älä ylitä nitojan valmistajan ilmoittamaa enimmäisarkkimäärää. Poista tukos avaamalla makasiini ja irrottamalla vääntynyt niitti pihdeillä, älä sormin. Säilytä rasia kuivassa; kosteus irrottaa liuskojen liimasidoksen.

Toiminta ja suojatoimet

Niitti on passiivinen kiinnike: nitojan isku työntää sääret paperinipun läpi ja vastalevyn ura taivuttaa ne nipun alapuolelle. Sinkkipinnoite suojaa teräslankaa korroosiolta. Suojatoimet: oikean niittikoon käyttö, liuskojen käsittely kärjet itsestä poispäin, tukoksen poisto työkalulla, rasian pitäminen suljettuna ja säilytys lasten ulottumattomissa.

Ympäristöolosuhteet

Käyttö ja säilytys kuivassa sisätilassa normaalissa huonelämpötilassa. Kosteus irrottaa liuskojen liimasidoksen ja voi ajan mittaan aiheuttaa jälkiä paperiin. Suoraa auringonvaloa ja kosteita varastotiloja vältetään.

Riskiarviot ja riskikartoitus

Pistovamma: terävä niitinkärki liuskaa käsiteltäessä tai tukosta poistettaessa – hallitaan käsittelysuunnalla ja työkalun käytöllä. Nielaisu- ja tukehtumisvaara: irtonainen niitti lapsen tai lemmikin ulottuvilla – hallitaan säilytyksellä ja irronneiden niittien keräämisellä. Sinkoutuminen: vääntynyt liuska, väärä niittikoko tai kova nidottava materiaali – hallitaan koon tarkistuksella ja ehjien liuskojen käytöllä. Puristumisvamma: sormet nitojan leukojen välissä – hallitaan käyttöohjeella. Korroosiojälki paperissa: kostea säilytystila – hallitaan kuivalla varastoinnilla.

Avsedd användning

Sammanfogning av pappersark, kartong och andra tunna material till buntar med hand-, bords- eller elhäftare i kontors-, skol- och pysselmiljö. Klammern laddas endast i en häftare som tillverkaren angett för storleken. Produkten är inte avsedd för bärande infästning, för häftning av metall eller trä eller för byggbruk.

Ingen leksak. Lösa klammer är små och har vassa spetsar: de innebär risk för sväljning, kvävning och stickskada för små barn och husdjur. Förvara asken stängd utom räckhåll för barn och husdjur och samla upp lossnade klammer från arbetsbordet.

Bruksanvisning och säkerhetsinformation

Kontrollera den klammerstorlek som är märkt på häftaren före laddning. Öppna magasinet, placera staven med spetsarna nedåt ända in i magasinet och stäng häftaren. Rikta arken till en jämn bunt och tryck ned häftaren vinkelrätt med en rörelse. Överskrid inte det maximala antal ark som häftarens tillverkare anger. Åtgärda stopp genom att öppna magasinet och ta bort den böjda klammern med tång, inte med fingrarna. Förvara asken torrt; fukt löser upp stavarnas limförband.

Funktion och skyddsåtgärder

Klammern är ett passivt fästelement: häftarens slag driver benen genom pappersbunten och städets spår viker dem under bunten. Förzinkningen skyddar ståltråden mot korrosion. Skyddsåtgärder: användning av rätt klammerstorlek, hantering av stavarna med spetsarna bort från kroppen, borttagning av stopp med verktyg, att hålla asken stängd samt förvaring utom räckhåll för barn.

Miljöförhållanden

Användning och förvaring torrt inomhus i normal rumstemperatur. Fukt löser upp stavarnas limförband och kan med tiden ge märken i papperet. Direkt solljus och fuktiga lagerutrymmen undviks.

Stickskada: vass klammerspets vid hantering av staven eller vid borttagning av stopp – hanteras genom hanteringsriktning och verktygsanvändning. Intended use

Fastening sheets of paper, card and other thin materials into a bundle with a hand-held, desktop or electric stapler in office, school and craft use. Load the staples only into a stapler for which its manufacturer has specified that staple size. The product is not intended for load-bearing fastening, stapling metal or wood, or construction use.

Warnings for children and pets

Not a toy. Loose staples are small and sharp-pointed: they present a swallowing, choking and puncture hazard to small children and pets. Keep the box closed and out of the reach of children and pets, and collect any loose staples from the desk.

Instructions for use and safety information

Check the staple size marked on the stapler before loading. Open the magazine, insert the strip points down all the way to the back of the magazine and close the stapler. Align the sheets into an even bundle and press the stapler straight down in a single movement. Do not exceed the maximum number of sheets specified by the stapler manufacturer. Clear a jam by opening the magazine and removing the bent staple with pliers, not with your fingers. Store the box in a dry place; moisture breaks the adhesive bond of the strips.

The staple is a passive fastener: the stroke of the stapler drives the legs through the paper bundle, and the groove in the anvil plate bends them under the bundle. The zinc coating protects the steel wire against corrosion. Protective measures: using the correct staple size, handling the strips with the points facing away from yourself, clearing jams with a tool, keeping the box closed and storing it out of the reach of children.

Environmental conditions

Use and storage in dry indoor conditions at normal room temperature. Moisture breaks the adhesive bond of the strips and may over time leave marks on paper. Avoid direct sunlight and damp storage areas.

Kasutusotstarve

Kasutusjuhend ja ohutusteave

Kontrollige enne laadimist klammerdajale märgitud klambrisuurust. Avage salv, asetage riba otstega allapoole salve lõpuni ja sulgege klammerdaja. Seadke lehed ühtlaseks pakiks ja vajutage klammerdajat risti ühe liigutusega. Ärge ületage klammerdaja tootja määratud suurimat lehtede arvu.
