Yato cordless wet and dry vacuum 18V, body only (YT-85689) is a 3-in-1 upright vacuumwith a brushless motor that vacuums, washes the floor with a rotating roller and sucks the dirty water into a separate tank in a single pass. The body-only version is supplied without a battery or charger; it is powered by a battery from the Yato 18 V Li-Ion system.
The maximum suction pressure is 12 kPa. The clean and dirty water tanks are separate, each 550 ml, so the floor is always washed with clean water. Three operating modes are selected with the buttons on the handle: smart mode adjusts the suction power and water dosing to the amount of dirt, max mode is for stubborn stains and dry vacuuming picks up dry debris without water.
The supplied docking station charges the battery in the unit and starts self-cleaning, in which the cleaning roller and internal hoses are rinsed with clean water; the drying function then dries the roller with airflow for up to 4 hours. The control panel shows the battery charge, the operating mode and the error codes E3, E5 and E7 (dock, roller, dirty water tank/filter).
The unit weighs 4.3 kg, its IP rating is IPX4 (splash-proof) and protection class III. Compatible batteries are YT-828461 (2 Ah), YT-828462 (3 Ah), YT-828463 (4 Ah), YT-828464 (6 Ah) and YT-828465 (9 Ah); the same battery fits the other tools in the range. Uses and suitability:
The upright vacuum is intended for dry vacuuming and wet washing of hard, sealed floor surfaces indoors.
- Tile, vinyl and laminate floors: Combined vacuuming and washing in homes, offices and break rooms; wet washing only on sealed surfaces.
- Kitchens and hallways: Smart mode for dried spills and mud; max mode for stubborn stains with more suction power and water.
- Pet and sand dirt: Dry vacuuming mode picks up sand, hair and crumbs before washing or as a separate step.
- Site and maintenance facilities: Cordless battery operation; use only low-foaming, water-based hard floor detergents. Not for industrial dust or fine dust, and not for vacuuming liquids without the roller.

Instructions for using the Yato cordless wet and dry vacuum 18V, body only:
Getting started: Push a fully charged Yato 18 V battery into the battery slot until the latch locks. Fill the clean water tank with up to 550 ml of water, to which you can add a little low-foaming, pH-neutral hard floor detergent. Fit the tanks and the floor head in place.
Washing and vacuuming: Switch on the unit with the power switch and select the mode with the function button: smart mode for everyday cleaning, max mode for stubborn stains, dry vacuuming for debris without water. Move the unit with even strokes; empty the dirty water tank when the panel shows that it is full (E7) or when the water is running low.
Self-cleaning: After use, place the unit in the dock, make sure there is water in the clean water tank and the battery charge is above 20%, and press the self-cleaning button. Do not remove the unit from the dock during rinsing; drying starts about 10 s after rinsing.
Maintenance: Remove the battery before maintenance and unplug the dock before cleaning it. Empty and rinse the dirty water tank and filter after every use; remove the roller, take off any hair and let it dry. Do not rinse the floor head or the body under running water. Clean the body with compressed air (max. 0.3 MPa), a brush or a damp cloth.
Storage: In a dry place, preferably in the dock. For long-term storage, empty both tanks and remove the battery; store the battery at 0–30 °C at about 70% charge.
Warnings:
- Read the instruction manual before use. For household use indoors only; not for explosive atmospheres or near heat sources.
- Do not immerse the unit, dock or power supply in water. Unplug the dock after every use and before cleaning.
