Floor care tools move water, sludge and loose dirt from the floor to a floor drain or for collection. The group includes floor squeegees, squeegee handles, scrubbing brushes, hand brushes and a combined cleaning scraper and brush. The tools are used in washing facilities, industrial halls, workshops, property maintenance, on construction sites and in households.

Selection criteria

  • Squeegee blade: a hard rubber blade moves heavy liquids and coarse sludge, a foam rubber blade follows an uneven floor.
  • Jointed neck: the squeegee reaches under furniture and machinery.
  • Handle: the handle diameter must match the socket of the squeegee or brush, for example 20 mm or 24 mm; an aluminium handle does not rust in damp rooms.
  • Bristles: stiff PET or PVC bristles loosen stubborn dirt, soft bristles suit sweeping dust.

Frequently asked questions about floor care

How do you remove water from the floor of a washing facility? With a floor squeegee, pulling the rubber blade towards the floor drain. A long handle keeps you working upright. Is a foam rubber squeegee suitable for an uneven floor? Yes. Foam rubber flexes and follows unevenness in the surface better than hard rubber.
