Yato hedge trimmer blade 200 mm (YT-828338) is a replacement hedge trimmer blade for Yato 18 V cordless grass and hedge shears YT-828335, YT-828336, YT-828357 and YT-828358. The working length of the blade is 200 mm, and it is made of 65Mn manganese steel.
The blade is toothed on both sides, and two overlapping blade plates move against each other. The blade comes pre-assembled in a black mounting frame whose drive gear engages the drive pin of the shears. The blade locks to the body of the shears with latches, and no tools are needed to change it.

Before fitting: switch off the shears, make sure the switch is not pressed and remove the battery. The blade edges are sharp, so wear protective gloves.
Assembly: press both cutting head locking buttons on the shears and hold them down. Place the blade on the body of the shears so that the drive pin goes into the drive gear and the pin protruding from the body goes into the hole in the mounting frame. The mounting frame must be flush with the body of the shears on all sides. When the buttons are released, the latches lock the blade. To remove, press both buttons and pull the blade off.
Before use: check that the blade has no rust or damage, and check the shrub for foreign objects such as wires. The drive parts must be clean, and they are lubricated with gear grease.
Cutting: keep hands and feet away from the blade. Cut only thin, soft branches; if a woody branch gets stuck between the blades, release the switch immediately and carefully remove the branch. The hedge trimmer blade is not used on shears attached to the telescopic pole, as the grass blade is used with the pole.
Jamming and maintenance: if the blade stops, release the switch and clear the blockage, removing the blade if necessary. Check the blade after a blockage; a bent blade is not straightened but replaced.
