BeaverCraft M7 green polishing wax (sharpening compound) is designed for maintaining the edges of wood carving knives, knives, chisels, plane irons and other fine tools and for finishing them to extreme sharpness. This fine compound is intended for use with a leather strop or cloth wheel, and it represents the last, decisive stage of the sharpening process. It effectively removes the burr and microscopic unevenness from the cutting edge, giving a mirror-like, friction-free cutting surface.
The small 25 gram bar has a solid, waxy consistency, which makes it easy and clean to apply to the surface of the strop. It is made of aluminium oxide (80%), binders and lubricants, which together guarantee an effective, even polishing result. The particle size of the compound is about 7–5 microns (M7), which gives a very fine, mirror-like polish and extreme sharpness with regular use. It is also excellent for polishing hard metals, such as stainless steel, cast iron and hard alloys, as well as stone, glass and other non-metals.

BeaverCraft sharpening wax M7 instructions for use:
Place the leather strop on a stable surface. Rub the green sharpening wax onto the leather surface until there is a thin, even layer. You can warm the leather slightly (e.g. with a hair dryer) or add a small drop of oil so that the compound spreads better. When stropping, place the cutting edge of the knife against the strop at the same angle as when sharpening. Draw the blade along the strop spine first, never cutting edge first, so that you do not damage the leather. Repeat the movement several times on both sides of the blade until the burr has gone and the blade is mirror-bright. Store the sharpening wax in a dry place and protect it from dirt and dust.
