This set includes: a carving knife, a right-handed hook knife and a long hollowing gouge. Thanks to its wavy design and gouge blade, the hollowing gouge is suitable for making large hollows. The hollowing gouge is a great aid when there is a lot of hollowing to do. The hook knife lets you hollow smaller areas more precisely and tidy up the slightly rough finish left by the hollowing gouge. The carving knife is used to carve the outer edges and the handle of the spoon.
BeaverCraft carving knives are made of durable Cr-V carbon steel with a hardness rating of 57–58 HRC. This makes them suitable tools for working both soft and hard woods. The handles of the chisels are made of oak treated with linseed oil.
As well as making spoons and cups, this versatile carving set is suitable for all other carving too. With these tools you can get creative with woodcarving and carve various shapes and patterns into surfaces, limited only by your imagination. The tools in the set let you create various grooves, hollows, reliefs and lines in your carvings.

Working with hook knives
Some woodcarvers prefer hook knives to knives because of the wider shaping possibilities they offer. Unlike knives, hook knives can also create other curved shapes, but they can also be used like knives. Switching from a carving knife to a hook knife takes its own time and needs a little practice, but after a little practice the hook knife can become just as important a tool as straight carving knives.
Materials

The blades of BeaverCraft knives and chisels are made of Cr-V carbon steel, which stays sharp for a long time and bites into wood more efficiently than ordinary tool steel such as stainless steel. Cr-V steel is easy to sharpen and hone, and it stays in good condition for a very long time. When honing, it is recommended to use honing oil, which prevents the steel from rusting.

- Every instrument has a solid construction, and the blade is glued firmly and fixed strongly to the handle.

- Our tools do not break if they are used properly (only for woodcarving work).
The warranty does not cover the following cases:
- Normal wear of the product. Every customer must maintain the sharpness of the tool they have bought themselves. Loss of sharpness during use is not a reason for BeaverCraft to repair or replace the tool.
- Misuse or mishandling. BeaverCraft tools are designed for hand carving only.
- Lack of maintenance and cleaning (learn how to maintain the tool). Defects caused by incorrect storage of the tool are not grounds for replacement.
- Self-repair, modification, dismantling and other human actions that cause damage.
- Loss of the tool.
