Yato grass shear blade 100 mm (YT-828339) is a replacement grass cutting blade for Yato 18 V cordless grass and hedge shears YT-828335, YT-828336, YT-828357 and YT-828358. The working width of the blade is 100 mm, and it is made of 65Mn manganese steel.
The blade comes pre-assembled in a black mounting frame with a drive gearin the middle. The drive pin of the shears turns the gear, and the comb-like blades move against each other. The blade locks to the body of the shears with latches, and no tools are needed to change it.
The narrow, comb-like blade is designed for lawn edges and finishing ornamental lawns in places a lawn mower cannot reach: along walls and fences, around trees and shrubs and along the edges of paths and flower beds. The shears are not designed for cutting lawn areas larger than 2 m² .
65Mn manganese steel resists wear and deformation, so the blade stays sharp longer. A worn or damaged blade is replaced with a new one complete with its mounting frame. The 200 mm hedge trimmer blade (YT-828338) from the same range attaches to the same body.

Yato grass shear blade 100 mm user manual:
Before fitting: switch off the shears, make sure the switch is not pressed and remove the battery. The blade edges are sharp, so wear protective gloves.
Assembly: press both cutting head locking buttons on the shears and hold them down. Place the blade on the body of the shears so that the drive pin goes into the drive gear and the pin protruding from the body goes into the hole in the blade’s mounting frame. The mounting frame must be flush with the body of the shears on all sides. When the buttons are released, the latches lock the blade. To remove, press both buttons and pull the blade off.
Before use: check that the blade has no rust or damage. The drive parts must be clean, and they are lubricated with gear grease.
Cutting: guide the shears so that the blade is not between the hand holding the shears and your body. Cut grass taller than 15–20 cm in two stages, first the top and then the base. The blade must not touch the ground, stones or woody plant parts. If the shears are to be attached to the telescopic pole, fit the blade before attaching them to the pole.
Jamming and maintenance: if the blade stops, release the switch and clear the blockage, removing the blade if necessary. Check the blade after a blockage; a bent blade is not straightened but replaced. Clean the blade after use and protect it with a thin layer of machine oil before long-term storage.
